ok disagree with it stay stupid believe in your own (false) logic hf in your dreamworld. dunno why you ask what is correct if you don't want to agree with the correct answer anyway.

It is quite an easy thing to prove wrong, use a graph type inn the line 1 (im assuming u mean 0.999999999) and then write in the line 0.999999999999(infinity) and notice that they dont cross, ergo its not the same ammount at any point

edit: this is why in any seriuse or hard matchematical equation of importent relevance, dealing with small numers, u will use 1/3 or 11/313 etc etc

64# they dont cross cause your computer cant 'catch' infinity too. But i didnt really understand from your english what your point is.

question... we all know that any thing divided by itself is 1 correct
1/1=1
5/5=1
107/107=1
54752/54752=1

so does 0/0=1??

did i just beat the system?

sadly division is just short hand by multiplying by the inverse of a number since 0 is not an element of any set under multiplication saying x/0 is nonsensical.

it makes about as much sense as asking what 17/peaches equals.

#68 ok here is the proof.

let Pinoy=1 and let Troll=0.999....
From the foundamental theorem of trolling we have that every pinoy is a troll, therefore:
Pinoy=Troll <=> 1=0.999....

and in any case the convergence of a series doesnt mean the serie is equal to that u can make a set in the rationals that converge to Pi which is irrational so the serie converge to a non rational number when all ur scalars are from the rational part and u know that the rational set is a closed set that mean that if u get the sum of two rationals the result will be a rational.

6/2 = 3

3 x 2 = 6

0/0 = ?

? x 0 = 0

Thus, since every number times 0 will give you a 0, hypothetically speaking, "?" can be any number, which means 0/0 will give you every number.

So yeah, it's kinda not possible to divide 0 by 0. It's undefined.

This is just a simpler way to look at it.

There's always an exception. 0 is an exception to the rule that any number divided by itself is 1.

Btw, it is amazing how many people here trying to prove that 1>0.9999.....
But hey wikipedia > them.

Division by zero is not allowed because division is just a multiplikation by the inverse element, but in each field 0 is the only element that has no inverse!
It is really hard to visit this thread as a math student because of so much ingnorance...

yea well in fact its the neutral element of the sum wich has no inverse its not always 0 but yea.

It must be in every pinoys blood, that they must troll!
