Orc's 1 2 3 markings (6402 reads, 21 replies, 1 year ago)
Can someone tell me the most suitable orc markings.

Mine are:

Ctlr + 1 Blademaster
Ctlr + 2 Shadow Hunter/TC grunts raiders
Ctrl + 3 casters
Ctrl + 4 Barracks Beastiary Spirit Lodge
Ctlr + 5 Main (Great Hall/Stronghold)

The reason I use ctlr + 1 for blademaster is because I don't like using F1 for him

I wud also want to know with which button should I mark the bats if playing against mass air.

My Far Seer markings are

Ctrl + 1 Far Seer, Shadow Hunter/TC grunts raiders spirit wolves
Ctlr + 2 casters
Ctlr + 3 barracks Beastiary Spirit Lodge
Ctrl + 4 Main

But if I have too big army then when I spawn the wolves there is no place for them so can someone tell me they're builds and some advices please. Thanks a lot

Why you use markings for heroes? you can press f1 for first hero and f2 for second. i use f buttons

F2 --> Sh

Ctrl 1 --> Bm, sh and Melee

Ctrl 2 --> Ranged units (Kodos and Sw)

Ctrl 3 --> Buildings

1. first hero, second hero, grunts, hhs, raiders sometimes
2. raiders, kodos, catas, air sometimes.
3. casters, air.
4. barracks, beastiary, spirit lodge.
5. altar
6. war mill (main in the beginning)

4. air
5. greathall+warmill
6. bestiary+barax+spiritlounge

1. BM and 2. Grunts

on t2 than i use

1. BM/SH, Grunts and Kodo (and if i am <50 supply i add also all raiders and spirit walkers)
2. Raider
3. Spirit Walker (and if i have katas i put them in)
4. Peon (if i don't need them i use this for main// or if i play against mass air i use this slot for my bats)
5. barrack
6. altar
7. beastiary
8. spirit lounge
9. Taurens/warmill (basicially warmill)

best orc players do like this so i do :

1.heros+melle units
2.range units+raider+kodos+demolisher
3.casters(spirit walkers etc)+peons
4.altar
5.baracks
6.bestery+spirit lodge

1.BMFS+SH/TC/FL, Grunt raider.
2.Spirit walkers,Kodoes,Demolishers,Peons(with spirit link).
3.Town Hall
4.Altar
5.Barracks
6.beastiary
7.Spirit lodge
8.Warmill / Tauren totem.
0.Peons of goldmine after it collapses.

and I use f1,f2 etc. if I let my bm to creep in an other side while my grunts do the same at an other side too,or if im in battle :).

What I use is similar to you, I hate f1 and stuff. So I do:
1:BM
2:SH+meelee
3:casters/demolishers
4:production buildings (I TAB them) - rax, lodge, beastiary
5:altar
6:main
7:mill

in the beginning I have no casters, nor demolishers so I use 3 for scout peons and stuff.

There aren't "best" controls, its individual, everyone groups whatever they find the most suitable for them, mine are:

1 - heroes, raiders, grunts, wind riders
2 - kodos, spirit walkers, trolls, batriders, catas
3 - barracks, beastiary, lodge, other unit production buildings
4 - altar
5 - base
6 - all the lumberjacks.

There are so many different pro orcs and so many different ways to group your units, so please dont say that :> You're just confusing the people who actually could believe you.

You cant say heros + melee units @ 1 since you dont have raiders @ 1. That means you have heroes + grunts on 1.

walkers are ranged units, and yet you dont have them in the same group as all other ranged units :< Also afaik sws are often kept in groupd with kodos/catas and even hhs




I just go
1. heroes+ grunts/mb raiders
2. mb raiders + hh/kodo/sws
3. cata/kodo/sw/hh
4-0 buildings

i just wanted to help the guy that asked what kind of group style is best.

for orc and i explained him,

ye WHO(korean player) puts his 2nd hero in his seccond group but he isnt best orc.

i explained it quite clearly dude.i SEVERANCED spirit walkers from range units as u could see and same for raiders.

stop raining like kids.

#9 learn english then make comment here,i wrote i do the same that they do.

1.heroes+grunts
2.head hunters+raiders+kodos+demolishers+wyverns
3.spirit walkers+peons
4.altar
5.baracks
6.b4 tier one --->great hall --------after tier one ---> beastery+spirit lodge

It's random between guys ,Eveyone use the control that they feel It is the most comfortable for him ,It's really a decry for argue with others about Your personall controls and compare between each other etc., I think that the thread is useless because as men here told - It's depends of what is the most comfortable control you can play .
