why use illegal drugs...just drink some beer or something instead..only a couple of beers or a good drink makes ur reflexes faster in a few cases

And when a fly crashes you crash, too? :)

Starcraft is about your mind. The drug that comes closest to helping is caffeine.

Maybe if the foreign players stopped "helping" themselves they'd have an easier time catching the koreans :P

jk

Seriously though, if e-sports got more money world wide testing would be required, but as it stands there isn't enough attention yet.

what if you have a prescription for something like adderall? i hate taking it, life is a lot less fun when i'm on my prescription, and my reflexes (according to reflex games) are actually slower on it than when i'm sober.

If you play better with a few drinks. Then you are a bit too nervous when you play sober. If you are a bit tense you will not notice it. But it does affect your game negatively.

What alcohol does is there is less oxigene going to the brain. The advantage is the retarded parts of the brain like that is causing anxiety gets less oxigene to.

I remember playing quake while drunk and owning a roommate so hard. I was only playing in the moment. If I made a mistake I didn't linger on it and just kept going. Feeling angry overconfident or frustrated only provokes more mistakes. I play best in a blank state of mind. Though that can be less fun.

GOOD PLAYERS DONT NEED TO TAKE DRUGS, imagine the korean pros would take drungs before every public game ^1^ ... imo if someone obviously looks like baked he should be tested and not allowed to play

If any of you remember the (eswc?) million dollar Pain Killer (fps game) tour; Voo (dutch ofc), which made the most/2nd most money was stoned a LOT. i dont know if he smoked right before games or if it helped him at all, but safe to say he ended up with ~400k dollars that year...

have you ever played Painkiller ? This game is pure nervosity and speed ,
the fastest paced FPS ever created , way faster than Q3(vq3/cpma nodifference) WSW or QW even if you're Pro Bunny hoppers Defrag shit.
And being aware of what's going on at a so high speed isn't easy .

and Vo0 is still considered as the "butcher" of Painkiller despite the game died , sadly :[.

It was the CPL World Tour btw =).

Now to go back on the topic , some drugs , I guess may help you to increase performances . Yet it depends on the game , on the drugs and on the amount of drugs you took. And for sure why did you take these drugs.
As VoO could understand PK easier , some CS/Q3 players might get drugs just to boost their reflexes ,as a lot are taking drugs just for fun .
Now the real problem is , as Return said , if admins are promoting or just knowing players are taking drugs .

I know the game pretty well being that my best friend played on the tour. I dont think the "butcher" image is adequate tho. He purely dominated in the start but later Fatal1ty caught up with him and he played even or better then Vo0 on the last part. As for my post i tried to be apolitical and just state the facts, cuz i doubt that it enhanced his game in any way.

i prolly played sc like 100 games out of 8-10k sober, still i reached easily over medium level skill.im pretty known in our sc/wc3 scene thou not from skill so much but from being always wasted.its not bad if u can control it.i still can go C iccup and i havnt played sc in ages,in wc3 my team where im shaman is on ESL and yet again most of shit ive done stoned/drunk.but then again drugs are bad mmkay?especially if u dont have any!....i was high on hash+booze+valium and me&oya went iccup like 14-0 2v2....if u know it u know it.if u dont the stfu and dont speculate.

#58 omg! wish you all the best to get away from all these drugs as fast as possible, or you going to die soon ~.~ i mean, you played 10k games- you probably played every day- u was on drugs every day- did you take the drugs to play better or just so? and what makes one playing sc/wc3 after taking drugs (if not to improve reaction or smthing)?
maybe ud be B+ without the drugs? after 10k games?... who knows
