Ledger as the Joker was really memorable. Especially the voice is haunting. (SPOILER AHEAD)
The hospital explosion was really mind bending. Somehow Ledger manages to be absolutely hilarious as the nurse, while still performing horrilbe deeds and turning on the darker tone on the film. At least my brain got confused at that combination.
(/SPOILER)

Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall in Apocalypse now are totally mind blowing too, Martin Sheen isn't that bad either.

Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster pull off some great stuff in Silence of the Lambs.

I don't know about the acting, but Sergio Leone's films have got such cool showdowns. No room for useless chatter, just deadly stares. Lee Van Cleef looks so badass.

I'm really looking forward on seeing Daniel Day-Lewis on There Will Be Blood.

even before clicking the thread i knew it would be about heath ledger in batman, i still didnt even read the op's post i just saw heath ledger real quick and knew for sure he was talking about his role as the joker, many people say this now especially after he dies

i always wonder what would have happened if he were still alive.. whenever someone dies people usually make them as being legends

True...
Is a shame that people only see value of the person on they already gone.
There a few movies that people think "ok nice movie but nothing special" but if that person in that movie die people say: "i love that movie and actor was so good is shame that he die"
But no doubts that Heath Ledger do a Huge role in Batman.
"Give value what u have today because tomorrow can be your biggest dream" Think about that

Agree. Oldboy is not my cup of tea. Can't see the beauty in it at all.

Old boy is a BRILLIANT and very well-made movie.

Some actors I like are Henry Fonda, Clint Eastwood, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey and Johnny Depp, to name a few.

Hard to find the best acting when you seen so many good movies, but 2 good performance is coming up in my head atm both done by Nicolas Cage in the movies "Lord of War" and "Matchstick Men".

I've heard that batman got great reviews only because Ledger died, so when I went to see it, I didn't expect much. But he really surprised me, great acting and his death has nothing to do with it...

Other actors I like:
Al Pacino in Scent of a woman.
Nicholas Cage in Face off (plays both the good and the bad guy, as does Travolta but Cage>>>Travolta anytime).
Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction.
