One hundred push ups (3768 reads, 81 replies)

Let's get this straight. Gaming is turning more and more into sports and to be able to win you need to be mentally in shape. Doing sports is one thing which keeps you going.

Couple of weeks ago I found this site called One hundred push ups which is 6 weeks training program for doing 100 push ups. Im currently at week 3 day 3 and this is starting to be pretty tough. Today I will do 30 + 22 + 22 + 20 + 27 push ups and im not sure if im able to do that because I almost failed in the day two.

I quote the site
To improve your strength, fitness and general health all you need to do is commit about 30 minutes of your time per week, and follow the push ups training program as closely as you can. I promise you will feel much better about yourself and much more confident after just a few short workouts.

Anyone with me? Do the initial test and complete the program: Proceed to the program, lose the fat, gain the muscles and get the girls =)

Cool, I think that is good thing for people to do. I already can do 100 pushups tho; football and college track throwing implements.

If you want to get in really good shape I recommend doing sprints. Doing sprints with good form will get you abs, arms, nice body in general in no time.

Think sprints not the best way but run 30m per day works better

u know, if yo chest is too big after them push ups, it slows down ur micro/macro since the chest is connected to the shoulders and u will be very stiff :D

[brag]I can do over 200[/brag]

now seriously, i think you dont need a specific train to make many push ups... i think you just have to make the max you can everyday and rest 1 day per week... that should do it!

Depends on the type of physique you want. And also different workout regiment is suiting to different body types. If I ran 30m per day it wouldn't get me where I wanted, but to someone else sure. I personally find sprints to be better than any weight lifting session, or any ab exercises.

Running only 30meters a day wont affect your body in any way, its simply too little of a workout for your body to improve itself. And you'll only burn a few calories, its pretty much the same as walking maybe 200meters at a normal pace which = not hard. Running 30m a shitload of times would work tho, if thats what you ment

I don't know, I've never been able to do more than 6 per second
On the other hand, I quit soccer 2 years ago, and haven't been excercising alot after that besides the occasional run (mostly after busses), so I can't say I'm in tip top shape atm!

I had some Endurance test at school..

I did 53 push ups in 60 seconds.

I think Running, swimming, and bicycle are the best way to lose pounds, without any Machine.
