Halp! My wc3 keeps crashing! (238 reads, 11 replies)
My wc3 keeps getting fatal errors right after a game is loaded, it happens _sometimes_ in laddergames, and _ALWAYS_ in DotA games... I've tried reinstalling, restarting wc3, nothing works

Anyone know how to fix this?

Yup... And I just tried to set process affinity, but I get an error saying "The operation could not be completed. Access denied"

Format ur PC then reinstall WC3 and put new drivers.

I have similar problems with other games, although the problem is easy enough fixed: just CTRL+ALT+DEL after I've launched the game>Processes>select the game from the list>Set affinity

But for some weird reason my computer won't allow me to do that with wc3! I get an error when I try to set affinity =[

if it appeared recently, maybe its a hardware problem, like memory stick broken, or CPU too hot!

anyway, the simplest way to repair a computer is to reinstall everything as sain in #3 :)

Edit: I meant "Expert" not Elkjøp.

Well I delivered the computer to "Expert" because I dont know anything about computers. It restarted everytime I turned it off, so I tryed to format my PC, but nothing changed After that I delivered it to Expert, they said I would have it back within a month. So I went back after a month, but they said they were "working" on it. And after almost four months I got it back. All they did was to change my harddrive I got the same restart problem afterwards, but somehow I managed to fix it

I fixed my fatal error problems with just downloading the latest drivers for my gfx card. That's my recommendation, very easy ;)
