I find that humans from now have a lack of creativity
(not saying all)
but a hell lot of people lack it

most movies are getting to the same story or copy it from old comics or stories

now if we look at games
same concept each year there are less and less games on the market(new ones)

you mostly get a sequel which mostly sucks or a story that which has such an obvious end

have human come to a cap of creativity?

may history yet repeat itself?
when games or movies or anything is made
the only thing they think about is
THE GRAPHICS the SPECIAL effects
they don't care about a good story anymore
neither about some emotional feelings that should arise when playing a game or watching a movie
it's just eye candy and VOILA SELL IT PLZ

almost every new movie there is some animations in it..
which i find sad we can see it's animation and then it removes the reality the sphere everything

when we have older movies
which everything was HAND MADE
even though when we watch it now it sucks
but i find those movies quite funny to watch how they made up such things

just watch the exorcist with the (dunno the english name for it)
but the green soup

so bloody funny to think about it that they USED that on STAGE

but what do we get now?
ANIMATIONS
sure they look cool and sure they are nice to see
but it removes the sphere i would say
else they should make a movie only with animations


and almost everything is getting the same
race games with the newest cars
rpg games where u are the hero and must save the world
strategy games where u fight in medieval or in future and must kill all
sim games where u need to build up something

prolly more but what the heck
the games that are released are getting the same
same graphics same story
just with a little difference in the graphics or a shortcut or strecht out of the story

where are we going too?

but then you should know that GOOD en UNIQUE things are worth more money
so some exceptional game like SC:BW has made alot of money ;-)
first MMORPG made alot of money
;-)

inventing new stuff makes new money

Thats why ppl choose the safe route and do the boring stuff all over again..

safe > risky when it comes to life..money that is

yup, so many "original" games faily epicly. Only a few become like BW, while you can always get a bunch of 10 year olds to buy 50 LOTR games D:

graphics are important for the visual sense.
the visual sense is bank.
other senses are important too (textual story, etc) but it isn't as simply appealing as the visual sense because it takes time to think about it.

so, visual is easier than thoughtful
thoughtful lasts longer than visual

its all about trying to appeal to all the senses

People try to be original. Look no further than American Inventor. Look at the dude that tried to invent some board game & lost his family, his house & everything else just to sleep inside his car to see his board game take off. Did it pan out? No.

People try to be creative. But being creative & coming up with new ideas for movies, games, etc, is a gamble.

research and developing new ideas cost money & time that yet again costs money .... either you have a money/time problem or you have no creativity... For most people both complies :-)

there are loads of creative guys coming up with new un-seen stuff every day.

Just because we don't see or know about it, only means, there are no money or interests backing it!

well about games, i see your point

for example:
the medal of honour / call of duty games are pretty much the same, and each new one that comes out just gets more boring because ive already played it.

i remember when allied assualt first came out, i played it alot on campaign and online, and i also got medal of honour spearhead, also played that on campaign and online alot, but then i played the next addition to the series and just got pure boredum. everything i had already done before and it was just not interesting any more.

oh yeah, and what about the splinter cell series, or the hitman series? to my knowledge theres been no other games to date like those. i guess manhunt is kinda close, but they really hit the nail on the head with those games imho

Splinter Cell, Hitman series I think was inspired by Metal Gear Solid series (Or did Hitman come before MGS? Please correct me if you know)

MGS, hitman, splinter cell, all kinda similar games but very unique in their own way i think, unlike say fifa 2008 and pro evolution ( w/e the current contender is )
