Timing Practice? (604 reads, 7 replies)
I play . Today, I lost two games on TS. One against and the other against . After reviewing the replays, I found that my timing was pretty much the cause of my defeats. Yes my mirco could have been better better, but it wasn't bad.)

How do you guys practice your timing? Any custom mods?

I just watch alot of replays and see when the opponent will be doing this and when he's going to be doing that. It depends on the level you're playing at though, I suppose bad players don't really watch alot of pro replays so they can't utilize their tactics right. But vs better players you can basically predict when the opponents gonna be doing what if you've watched a pro use the tactic you're up against.

versus orc as a rule of thumb if you're gonna try to cancel his beasts ur due to go 2-3 dots into the night.

Its really much a matter of experience... The basis rules i play with against orc is (i play ghouls):

1: hit burrows around 11.00, since he will most likely reach T2 around 12.00 at night. So u can delay his hero, which is quite important. (ye i got an offensive style and loves burrowcrush and early fights)

2: around 01.00 he put down his beastaries, so to take them down hit him 01.30 - 02.00.

I got a few basis rules like that vs every race, but when i play much after experience. I know when im stronger than my opponent, and when i should get hero advantage, when i should try to keep hero advantage (opponent stronger).

But u will learn how to do it, when u get better :)

But a basis rule for undead with ghouls is, have an offensive T1, creep in T2 and early T3 is your prime time, so try to get hero advantage, or attack.
