Help, FAST! Huge Spider:/ (4509 reads, 95 replies)
meh, I've got this huge spider in the cellar rooms, and it was all the time sitting there, looking like not that huge, put it had its legs together...
so it wasn't any bad, but when I came back with dog now it sits at the wall downstairs into the cellar and damn, it is about 10cm from front leg to back, and those strong legs:/
tho, dog needfs something to eat.. and it is downstairs and dude, I am rly afraid of such a spider I cannot even walk 1m far away from it, too scared=( (for no reason actually, I know myself.. but it is like it is).

How can I get rid of it, b4 it thinks about going upstairs a few meters wallrun in like no time seem to be ez for it:/
I can't use vacuum cleaner at this time, too loud o_O'
and I am all alone at home (my dad wouldn't have a problem taking it and putting it outside>_<')

edit: on the one hand it might be back in it's corner on the top (there sites a spider with a bigass body and ling legs), but on the other hand I am not rly sure that'S the spider which was sitting at the wall:/

it would take alot to kill a spider like this. i think ur best bet it to get a big bucket or something, trap it agains tthe wal and slowly bring it down to the floor, and then at least its contained, then it will starve, or u can try to kill it once in the bucket. Play it like a PvT :)

spiders survive pretty long without food :/
I once captured one in a box (fresh air could come inside) when I was a lil guy and forgot about it.. 2month later I opened it and there were all over spiderwebs and the spider still moved, but was all white :o

also I don't like to go too near to insect cuz I find them pretty disgusting (bad experience in my childhood), so I would actually be too afraid to trap it=(
I guess I will use the vacuum cleaner tomorrow, for now I made sure it can't come inside and eat me while I am asleep lolz

Don't kill it...
Don't be afraid, europen spiders don't bite. Take it and put it outside:). Use a newspaper or a glass.
Or leave him alone. He will eat your mosquitos ^-, not you. LoL

Get a good contain on, your macro is already way better. If you are careful of its d-web micro you should be able to overwhelm it and put it outside.

Just get a large glass/transparent tub and a thin book (or something with a flat surface) and try and guide the spider into the container. Once in, use the book to cover the lid so that it doesn't get out. Then you can put the spider outside.

Just remember that it's probably more scared of you! As long as you move the container and book together slowly then hopefully the spider won't run away too fast and you'll be able to guide it in with a bit of luck.

I'm scared of spiders myself (as I was bitten by one when I was younger). I live in a large Victorian house so we get many big spiders appearing all the time. I just use a tub and a book and guide them in. Then set them free outside

Just find a beer box or whatever you got around, trap it inside then put something hard and flat over, take outside and let out into the grass or something. I trap spiders all the time, when you kill a spider too much of a mess, too much emotions adrenaline factors etc, just be chill put in a box put it outside drop it out the window whatever just be fast.
