go into the garage or something (assuming you have one) an craft a spear or some kind of a "melee safe distance weapon" and then pierce the mothafuckah right in between the eyes, if you miss and he counter attacks, well then you just jab towards him with your spear in panic and hope for a hit if you do however not succed in slaying this beast of a spider you have failed and so have mankind, now take the stone marius take the stone and run!

why not asking your parents for help?... srsly i remember last year my grandmother saw 1 spider like this on the house wall and she took her shoe and just said "what do you think you're doing here", chased it and smashed it lol ^^.... older people rarely have fear of such things and probably they have been through the same fears when they were younger
or just ask couple of friends and tell them that whoever kills it will receive 100 euros ^^

Maybe you should try to rethink your priorities. Fear not the reaction of whoever may awake as a result of your actions.

Think of someone you love - be it a gf, parent, sibling or anyone really - and imagine them accidently waking you waking you up from sleep while in the process of ridding themselves of the source of their greatest phobia. How would you react? Try to beat them to death? Yell at them? Just roll over and go back to sleep? Go up and help them with their task?

I also thought about that quote, but I do believe LML meant that the spider is too big, not that the process is 'too loud', seeing how he is alone in his house. :)
