DL is mainly used as a 3th hero, with a ghoul/garg combi. I like it much in mirror against fiends, because it gives a good opportunity to get hero advantage, or destroy him totally, since he cant do ANYTHING untill he got an orb, and in most cases ghouls beat fiends untill dessis come, even if both got orb. Furthermore it makes it almost impossible to play a hit and run strat for him. And having a DL to sleep his Dk is very nice, when u nuke the lich (though its devoured in a sec, it takes only 2 sec to kill a lich with nova, orb and ghouls)
DL can also be played as 3th hero against human, with a ghoul / garg strat. But its a very hard strat to play, and only works on a few maps like LT, because u cant fight his army... All u can do is heronuke, so its about getting a major hero advantage, since gargs rarely defeat flying machines
