lol, what I think has happened is that wc3chart has associated itself with all the .w3g (replay files) files, what you simply have to do is associate the filetype with warcraft3.exe or frozenthrone.exe or war3.exe I'm unsure which it is and I've got trouble checking it since I just got vista and haven't understood it fully yet.

But bottomline, try to associate the w3g files with either of these exes unsure which works, just try each and every one.

This is after the fact, but I figured I'd reply in case it helps someone else out. I had this problem a while ago.

There are 2 ways to fix this. You can either uninstall/reinstall war3 completely, or you can edit your system registry and modify the extension. Be aware this can be potentially harmful to your system if you go about changing things that shouldn't be changed. Here is what you change and how to do it:

Run the program Regedit.exe (as administrator, if under vista). You want to navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, Warcraft3. Replay, shell, open, and then command. Under command on the right window pane will be the key named (Default) and its 'data' should point to whatever program you have associated .w3g files to. You want to change it to:

"[warcraft 3 directory path]\war3.exe" -loadfile "%1"

in my case this looks like:

"C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\War3.exe" -loadfile "%1"

Close the registry and you are done. You should immediately be able to open .w3g files by double clicking them. As a side note, I also like to append -window to the end of the command line so I watch replays in windowed mode. Hope this helps.
