orc v ne mass talons (455 reads, 7 replies)
wondering why, seeing as orc have trouble with countering this strategy, dont orc get a dark ranger (with silence) as second (when you see aowinds going up) or even tech to t3 and get her third. im not pro so theirs probably a good reason why pros prefer bm/tc against mass talons.
maybe pros have done this and im just not aware of it, though it would be cool if ive invented a new strategy and grubby/lyn ect start using it!

as a side issue i think hh are worth adding to raiders as they are lower food cost so their can be more of them resulting in more cyclones needed resulting in more mana used.

No problem, just tower ur base and keep harassing with heros+riders, when he`s tp`ing use speed scroll to escape or tp if needed. Take exe, and also tower it up. When exe is on, keep harassing and mass wyws+bats. Most nelfs will definitely loose (it`s rly lame, but it works).

I think theres a few reasons that dark ranger isn't a viable counter.
-DH can mana burn her, and and she doesn't have a big mana pool
-She can be cycloned repeatedly so she may only get one or two silences off in the fight
-Silence's aoe isn't big enough to get all the dots, and this is a big deal because most good nes only have a few things getting cycloned at a time (like heroes).

I think after considering these things it makes sense to have TC.
But I have wondered why panda isn't a viable second hero, especially because his aoe costs little mana. I've seen Grubby in the past try the panda, but only a few games. He must've made the conclusion that TC was better.

#2... I don't know if that'll work against good players.. the reason orcs don't tower with dotts is because they have heavy armor meaning they get owned by dotts in about 2 seconds.

I know why he says mass wyverns &é bats , so the dott would go flying mode and bat do suicide but you won't see that in pro gaming

manaburn, cyclone, its even worth dispelling a wisp on silence (i do realize that talons will lose some mana, but who cares with 400 mana master dotts) all this makes it pretty worthless.
