Uhm, well... It's a good item, and that's pretty much all there is to it :P didn't really get what you meant by "how come that little tiny item can do much like that?", it's simply a good item :P And yes, gloves of haste or gauntlet of strength is good too, but the reason that the circlet is so perticularily good is because it does it all: more strength (hp/dmg), more agility (speed/armor) and more intelligence (mana/mana regen).

Gesegg circlets give a total stat boost of 6 while a gauntlet for example gives 3. Heroes like the BM which benefits from all three stats boosts it's awesome while on a dreadlord for example it's not as good.
