HU VS Bears (905 reads, 16 replies)
im having some trouble vs NE lately.

we spawn across the map from each other on Turtle Rock, so i try to FE but i cant because he keeps on harrassing my FE. so i creep a bit and stuff, and i think where i make my mistake is when i take a while to tech. another mistake i notice that i do alot is when i just creep and dont attack him, i do it every game for some reason, i just try to creep and only attack when i feel i have a strong strong army. but before i can have a powerful army hes already been teching and soon enough he has bears. when he has bears it seems like its gg. i have no idea what counters bears...

and another question, do breakers steal rejuvenation from the bears? if not well dispel work?

Breakers can steal rejuv, a Breaker/sorc/riflemen is a possible counter. You can throw in some mortars perhaps vs the dryads. Or you can tech to t3 and go griphons. Build some towers at your expand and main to keep yourself alive until youve teched...

and well, its allways good to harras. In general, if you FE he will by midgame be able to creep alot more then you, so its worth harrasin. kill a monwell, maybe get a ancient of lore or whatever.....

human can always make any units, any heroes and still win the game with towers :>

just go fe, 50-100 towers and tech to whatever u think would be the best in that game.

??????

Bear players normally build a lot of dryads on tier 2, since they need something to harass enemy and dryads have same weapon/armor upgrades as bears.
Dryads are magic immune and deal pierce.

On turtle rock, you should not fast expand. U just play normal and t-rush at tier 2 with some footies some rifs and some priests. U must win before the bears come.
The other way (which I don't advise u), is to mass tower and go tank.
Anyway, TR (without close position) is the only map that clearly favours NE in this MU so it is normal that u lose often on it.

Can you explain to a noob, why turtle rock favors NE?

And why not use knights and breakers against bears?

Or gryphons with priest?
While the dryads spend time to dispel inner fire the gryphons will massaker the bears with magic attack. His losses will be greater than yours, so afterwards you just have to do something creative with you're gryphons, because his magic immune dryads will remain.

tr is easy to creep and u got a tavern, good for elf.
as i used to play hu, i went EVERY game t2 tr, caster/rifler, am naga and most of the games i won...its so ugly to see every hu mu mass tower mass units win
without any skill!

But then the enemy didn't have much skill either or he would have coutered the units. So whats ugly about such a win?

Lol !!!! Ofc they do !!!!!
I shouldn't say that, or I will have to face even more tanks abusers. Believe me, I dream of a world where tanks don t damage uprooted treants :)
They do a little less dmg cuz the armor is not anymore fortified but it's quite enough.

#11 The first reason is that it is hard (or normally impossible) to fe.
Power creeping is easy for ne and u have several possibilities for heros (Dh, DR, BM or even Panda ;) )
Knights generally don 't work vs bears cuz hu is too slow to build them and they are clearly less efficient in the fight (for almost the same price).
