How come no one ever uses Necro / MW? (671 reads, 12 replies)
Just curious as to why UD players never use the Necromancer / Meatwagon strategy? I've never seen it used in over 100 replays, is it that ineffective? Why did Blizzard even make these units if no one ever touches them I wonder?

Necromancers are useless if an opponent has dispel.

necrowagon strat sucks, i often use necro vs hum, i also use wagons vs elf/hu. But together the actual necrowagon sucks, they are just some support for the main army

Because a good opponent owns u before u can push, or get such a hero advantage u cant do a fuck

It takes time, and u'll need some time to get atleast 2 wagons and 5-6 necros, a good player would take down ure whole army while creeping up high lvl heroes, and making units that dispells skeletons

necrowagon can do, and does alot vs all players. Ud vs elf, necrowagon is a must if its mass dry bear.

UD players several times used necrowagons against me - in all these cases i think i won, but that wasn't due to skels being ineffective.

My personal problem with necrowagon is not dispel - just only use skels, when enemy seems to lack dispel powers - but its complicated and time consuming to use it effectively.

Second problem is, that skels are only useful if enemy cannot run(otherwise he just runs and waits for skels to die or spread), so normally at town or expansion. But there are towers and 25 skels+army are not enough to send headalong into enemy towers+army.
