2v2 NELF/Undead + Human Strategies (443 reads, 3 replies)
Hey, my name is Derick and I just started playing Warcraft 3 Melee. I've been playing starcraft brood war for a few years and at one point rape'd terriblely. My APM isn't that great. Probably around the 130-180 range. I was hoping to get better at Night Elf or Undead. My partner mainly plays human but I suppose hes willing to switch to Orc and such.

Our strategy at the moment is basically in the beginning footmen + mountain king and I get archers + hero [double AoW](not yet chosen a hero but usually demon hunter, been trying other heroes but none has really worked for me).

In starcraft I usually play protoss, double gateway pump zealots or FE. So I related NE to this sorta..

In a few games that we've run what we'd do is I'd go archers and slowly tech up to tier 2 getting 2 AoL and pump out druids of the claw and he'd get priests + riflemen.

In our last game we lost to 2 Night Elves. Basically, they got hyppos and chimeras. We got dominated as my ally tried to get those copters and I got massed dryads. I don't know what we did wrong. We both got double early expansions and harassed so they couldn't even get one by the end of the game but still those chimeras ripped through our heroes and his copters were no fight for hyppogryphs.

Any suggestions + build orders for races that we could try for NE/UD + HU/ORC.

WTF DRYADS AND COPTERS??? Why you not maked hippos and dragonhawk riders?? Dragon hawk riders owns hippos. Hippos owns chims.
But however SCOUT! if you that they start mass hippos and chims not make aol. Make aowi.lol. Copters...omg¨

NE / ORC is very strong. grunt/raider(/sw) & hunt/dry > all.
This together with BM SH and DH Naga or KotG is pure rape.

NE/HU isn't a good choice for 2v2 .. although if you do this and your partner human as u said make rifleman and priest you should train a potm at the beggining with aura and then mass some dryads and hunts , maybe : chose a pitlord or panda for second hero .. and you should help the human get 1-2 expo's so he can build tanks or even give you gold

As #2 said ... ORC/NE is very strong and a lot better that NE/HU
