I have the impression that a good part of gg.net visitors and members are metalheads :)
Personally I am one
so :

Favorite genres within metal ?
Favorite bands ?
Songs & shit ...
how do you feel when going to concerts ?
is metal big in your country ( I've only heard stories about metal being very popular in certain countries like Finland :)
do you play in a band ? or have played ?
Clothing and lifestyle in general ?

Influence over friends ? ( most of my non-metalhead friends like certain metal bands - Sepultura, Pantera, Slayer, Metallica mainly)

I love metal, i wouldnt say im a metalhead per say but i cant resist a good shred now and then.

A few of my favs:
Pantera
Old metallica(pre black album)
System of a Down
Lamb of God
Otep(digitally enhanced voice on newer albums suckzorz tho)
mudvayne

And in my country metal is freakin HUGE, everyone here is so angry and ready to fight grrrr. Definately have alot of good metal coming out of the nordic countries though, I think that is where metal like this is best

Favorite genres within metal ? ALL OF THEM AS LONG AS THEY ARE TRUE METAL!!

Favorite bands ? Opeth, Despised Icon, Dream Theater, Blut Aus Nord, Carcass, Benighted, older Xasthur, older Ulver, Arcturus, Slayer etc etc


I do not play instruments but i can do vocals. The US has a good fanbase of real metal fans, however, not enough.

As far as i know Artanis, me, Spiral perhaps (those bands are iffy, and definitely NOT OTEP WTF) Roaddog, Eriskigal, and maybe Meph listen to metal. Ive been listening for many years, have built up a large collection, and encourage everyone to join last.fm and add me (www.last.fm/user/gorgutted)
like 36k plays lol, big list o' bands :))))

Seriously though... metal is my life.

Not as accurate as it could be (way too much of Metallica, too less Emperor and Burzum), but it`s ok. By the way, in Poland metal isn`t as big as it could be. There`s a lot of nsbms (national socialistic black metals)/pagans which say they`re more skinheads then metals, but well, their choice. And as everywhere most of people listens to what other does. Nor what they like by themselves. A lot of skinheads listening to hip-hop (One of most pathetic examples I`ve ever heared), normal Hh fans, techno fans etc. etc.

well as far as clothes go I don't wear any leather except for a biker jacket from time to time ... otherwise normal / camouflage pants no tight shit ... rather baggy actually and mainly t-shirts and hoodies with logos and shit
and besides I don't think I'm an outsider because of my long hair black t shirts and mass earrings ... sure people notice strange things but I have no problems communicating with nonmetal fans. some might say I'm an "insider" depends on the point of view ... and besides people do such crazy things with their clothes and hair that I'm not the most noticeable guy on earth. People stop paying attention to things like that anymore

Any kind of metal is good. I prefer melodic death/black metal the most.
Like: Dimmu Borgir, Carpathian Forest, Lamb of God, The Duskfall, Hypocrisy,
Arch Enemy, Timeless Miracle, HammerFall. And many more...
And metal in Hungary? We'r ok thx, but there could be some black metal bands. :S

I even learned to cover all of that on guitar for a band, that's how bigger trash metal fan I was/am!

I never looked the part, but my sound convinced ^^

but nowadays I listen to anything that can arise my interest or makes my head bob ^^

Funnily enough the only two hungarian Metal-bands I know about are both Black Metal... :P

And if someone wants to know what I listen to search for one of the countless of old threads around here. :s
It's mostly Death/Folky/Black/Thrash/Progressive thou.
