How does one get their apm this high?

i have 180-220ish apm when playing solo...i duno...micro? and have diff teams on hotkeys...and have heroes in diff groups and bind keys? mehz...

It's not really hard, i get around 160-170 but i only use hotkeys for my heroes and units (that's why when i'm in battle my macro sux a lil bit)... prolly if i use hotkeys for buildings i'll have around 200 or more... depends... most of your APM should come from micro...

there are two ways of gettin such high apm:
1) keep playing more and more, you´ll improve and your apm will raise
2) spam spam and once more spam the keys and pull ur apm to heavens high (but bit useless)

that girl has almost double apm rate as me

it's worth to spam only in the begining... when you creep or especially when you fight with your opponent you just can't spam... cuz you have to micro...

never had more than 150 apm, and still managed to win. Apm is quite the relative matter.

I have around 130 apm.

You don't need high apm to become a good player; Axslav has 77-120 apm and he's strong.

ofc u get higher apm when ur in fights, there's simply more to do, u maybe don't get it since u spam all the time anyways:)

I have like 170-190 APM, it's really funny when I play 3s with my friends...

Me = 170-190 APM
Pat = 150-160 APM
Péo = 30-40 APM

Yet, the guy with the lowest APM is often ahead of us on scores. <_<

To get back to the question... spam... A pro without spam wouldn't get over 130 APM. That's for sure, they spam their control groups all the game through...

i do like 160 - 230 depending on my opponent .... i do the most in fights : ) you can do it by clicking a lot with your mouse and changing between your control groups : ) i think that the more micro the higher apm you get : ) all about practice : ) the highest i have ever done was 384

well i totally agree with the guy above me... in some games i get 200 with almost no spam... but yeah i do a lot of mouse clicks... and using only 1, 2 and 3 for hotkeys... in wc3 your apm should come mostly from your micro, not from 5,6,7,8,9,0 spamming...

Happy and FoCuS have very high apm, DIDI8 also used to have high apm.

for me..only have 160-210 tops..
my micro is really BAD in late game (really have to work that out)

for me apm is not really important...just assign hotkeys that your comfortable with and you wouldn't have problems.
high apm's come from spamming and hand speed...

BTW in you're opinion who do you think has the HIGHEST apm there is?
got rumors about Zacard having 500+ apm
