NE Help? (2650 reads, 47 replies)
I usually use Humans as my main race, but after watching a few reps, I am finding myself attracted to NE. So, please bear with me for a while...

What's the basic BO for NE? Which Hero should I start with? What units should I concentrate on? And finally, what's NE's best MU?

Thanks for reading and answering.

well I´ll try to give you better info than #1 :)

for BO you gotta really watch reps but most usual is altar, moonwell, aow somwhere near creeps, and so on

Hero Superman no other :) (since you´re beginer with elf, later u can try some other like warden/dark ranger vs hu on small maps, warden(together with panda) vs ud, etc.)

and units? bears & dryads solves ;)

best MU depends IMO on player, for example my best is HU and I really suck @ mirror

*nods* Thank you both for the tips. I'll watch more reps, and practise DH, :P

Oh, yeah, one more question... what are the NE's greatest strengths? Like humans, their spells and casters and effects, what do the NE have?

lol, alright #4.

I got a few replays from MYM]Moon and SK.SoJu. Won't be as good as them, but they have given me the basics to run with, along with a few tips from posters here.

Thanks a lot people.

It's more a lack of weaknesses and their adaptability that makes them imbalanced. They can go pretty much any hero they want and have moonwells/AoW creep to back it up. The "standard" hero for NE is DH and he is not needed to support his army like AM with brill aura and DK with aura/coil for example. So he is easy to switched out when need be (although he works VS almost everything too).

Another reason is that just the Bear/Dryad combination is insanely strong versus just about anything, the counter to just about everything is switching the ratio of bears and dryads. MY favourite WC3 quote although I can't remember who said it first is "Bears deal chaos damage" because it's almost true. And if I had to pick the "best" unit in the game although all units have their strengths and weaknesses I would probably say Dryad.

Those two units are great alone but combined they are even better and against pretty much everything although they don't hard counter anything in particular.

They have an easy time expanding too and have hide for both of their starting units.

There is just too much to count, other races have alot of strengths too, don't get me wrong but NE got more strengths/lesser weaknesses.

LOL? To play with NE is simple. Make some bears, dryads and a DH. Against human on small maps a DR and against orc mass taloon...

Also known as "imba staff" or "staff of no micro" or even "staff of preservation".

Click on it in your inventory slot of your hotkey, click on hero or unit you want to save, rince and repeat.

Actually 80% of Ne players use Demon Hunter as first hero. Archer Ofc. Later in game tec 2 get drayds good against casters. Bear is a gooc choice if you got enough gold. Talons is good 2. With cyclone hold the nemys hero in the air.

P.s it's my way to play. your choice to follow

At T3 and more expensive and higher cooldown and NE have moonwells and often bears so it would be a disadvantage to slowly heal the staffed hero for them most of the time. But hey I'm not saying Humans staff is bad either, just not quite as useful.
