Grubby - Human? (2053 reads, 37 replies)
In a recent blog, Grubby suggested a change of race, as he believes orc is currently the weakest race in the game.
The poor form of Grubby has been well documented of late, people saying it's because "he has lost his motivation" and "orc is to weak".
In 4Kings recent NGL match against mouz, Grubby latepicked human against Happy on LT, a reasonable choice, although LT is not such an anti-orc map as it is anyway.

Taking all of these factors into account, is it not within the realm of possibilities that Grubby has been focusing more on his Human of late rather than his Orc?

This would explain his loss of form, maybe nothing to do with motivation or imbalance in the game. No, Orc has not been a very succesful race of late, but this year, even other Orc players have been performing better than Grubby himself, which is something unseen before.

In 4Kings upcoming matches, i know ill be watching for Grubby to switch to Human, even if only for a game or two, but when he does, watch for improvements...

What about Lyn 4-0 Moon? Shouldn't that at least mean something to every orc user on Earth?

Lyn 4-0 vs Moon, is futher reason to think that Grubby may not be training his orc as much as he should be... what do you think about the theory of him changing to human?

It was him latepicking human on LT vs Happy that made me think of this... which is why i suspect human instead of elf

I thought Blizzard where going to release a patch to make races slightly more balanced? Don't you think he would wait for that first?

Bah, i think Grubby will decide to play Elf. I can't see why he would pick Human if he will change race. I bet my monye on the elf.

But maybe what Grubby needs is just a little pause, tpo get back on track again!

too many good elves already...maybe he just wants to cheese with hum...plus tod gone...4k needs a decent hu...demuslim seems a bit fresh...

Demuslim's too weak in certain match-ups. He can't consistently help out the 4 kings.

Grubby should probably wait for Starcraft II or simply help out at a modeling agency with PPG.

with creo inactive and lildc gradually improving his NE skills, and tod leaving 4k, i think it'd be alright if grubby plays HU from time tto time, although, demuslim is the other HU player , i havent seen nething out of him that stands out, but in my opinion, i think grubby should stick to orc, so the team would be more balanced, race-wise. it'd be nice if 4k can pick up a UD player, like fov or something

I highly doubt they pick up FoV and sweet since they are in BeT and left good teams to get there, Susi and Luci is in MyM and MyM players rarely switch teams unless they get kicked.

The players that might become available are Gostop if he deciedes he is fed up being a sole member of a team and Reign since i doubt his stay in WE will hold much longer after Soju Remind and Lyn left.

I'm not saying it's likely that 4K will get those either but at least they could be available in a near future.

After second thought FoV might be a bit disapointed after getting run over in the WC3L finals but i think he will remain in BeT anyway.

Back on topic, in order for 4K to be a competitor at the WC3L finals and NGL-one they will have to recruit at least one new player or have their current ones VASTLY improve. They are saying that they are working hard t oget to the top again, but then again most teams are and they are a bit ahead already.

FoV and Sweet definitely won't get picked up, they had a salary raise in BeT not too long ago and now they're both making like $120000 a year, which is an extremely good deal even for the Starcraft pros in Korea.
