I made FF7 out in 21 hours, though on the back of the game it clearly says that it's impossible to finish under 25 hours.. Thought that was fun..

I beat ff12 shortly after it came out. Imo, it is the worst game in the series so far, but still a great game. The fighting can become boring if you set up your gambit system well, as the AI will do all the fighting for you. I guess this could be avoided by not using gambits...but hey, im far too lazy for that

completely off topic rant following.

its a shame ff12 isnt as good as ff10 ;(
but its still better than ff8(battle system/experience/freedom wise)
the story in 8 was great. the battle system just fucked you up - constant drawing, not gaining any experience and junctioning ultima and triple and other strong magic.

if you want to play ff9 and ff10 again then you have to play ff7 again as well.
for me its 1. ff7 2. ff10 3. ff9 4. ff8 5. ff6(only because i played it too late and the graphics were too outdated)
not sure where ff12 will go -_-

I've replayed ff10 b4 and I'd recommend you replay it b/c its still a sweet game. I also played ff12 and it sucks shit compared to past ff's, although its still a good game.

#30 word :)

I also like the graphics better there. The graphics in FF9 pwnz, though, all the fairy tale mood, unlike the stiff and artificial FF10 graphics :p

#31 ff10 (i'm not trying to argue its best or better or anything like that) still had really good graphics compared to past FF's and its gameplay wasn't bad. I personally thought it had a great storyline too and brought some new things to the Final Fantasy series. However, it obviously wasn't some godly revolutionary game like ff7. Anyway, I really disagree with your statement above about how FF series died after FF9; 10 and 12 are still both good games and I think ff10 can measure up to a number of the past FF's.

it is safe to say that squaresoft still rules ;8
i have high hopes for ffxiii and ffxiii:versus.
also, ff7:ac was amazing.
i cant really play any other rpgs other than squaresoft anymore - ive tried breath of fire and suikoden, but they seriously suck compared to final fantasy/chrono series.
which reminds me - Chrono Cross is an AMAZING game. if you havent played it then youre missing out on a lot. and if you can tolerate snes graphics you should give chrono trigger a try as well - its as good as an rpg gets, really.

I liked ff10. The ending was rather disapointing though. For new players it was hard as hell, but for anyone familiar with the series, it was really one of the easier versions.

I tested the 10x2 or whatever it is called once, and immidiately decided to go beat ff7 again ^^

#32 Hehe, it's just fun discussing what we like better or worse, so I'm not going to "flame" my opinion upon you. Nevertheless, I think FF10 is a great game as a game, but I don't think it was close to as good as FF7 and FF9 when it comes to FF-games.

The graphics were better, I agree, but personally I like the graphics in FF9 and FF7 better :)

As for the story, it might also be that Hironobu Sakaguchi is losing creativity, hehe. FF8 was a clichè, at least. Either way, they all pwn ass ^^

Just wondering if you're ignorant to the fact that PS2 can play PS1 games -.-

Do most of you even remember FF7? It was incomplete, had bad graphics even for it's time, and it's characters were almost a joke :P. Not being a hater, just saying.
