MLG Raleigh: the groups, the Koreans, the next season

A ton of news streamed down from MLG's website, regarding the pools for Raleigh, the attending Koreans, the caster line-up as well as information about the 2012 seasons of the league.

From the beginning of the exchange program, MLG has welcomed some of the best Koreans to its home ground and the fourth stop of the league will make no exception. Although MVP has declined the invitation to return to America as Anaheim champion, four compatriots of him have been invited to storm the Raleigh pools.

Those include Code A champion Bomber and his teammate Trickster, the absolute old-time legend Nada and the very promising Zerg Coca. Rain and DongRaeGu have also summed up enough ranking points to secure their places in the groups and a picture of heavily "Koreafied" pool plays begins to form. And here are the groups themselves:

The Korean presence does not end with the Raleigh pools. FXO will fly in Choya and TheBest and MVP's Noblesse will be brought to America to represent the col.MVP partnership. Those three will stream in the open tournament bracket, aiming to get a top 4 place, which guarantees further seeding into the groups.

MLG also reveal that they will bring four of the best casters in the business to provide their insights to the game. Day[9] and Husky will be appointed to the red stream, while the blue one will be in the hands of the casting archon Tastosis, who are returning to MLG after their appearance in Columbus.

ESFI World also report a statement by MLG CEO Sundance DiGiovanni about the next season, given during the most recent "The Loser's Bracket" podcast. MLG 2012 will be divided into four major seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter - with many online competitions between them. Plans for setting up a studio which is to broadcast additional content are also in consideration, although nothing is decided as of yet.

All left to do now is mark the calendars for 26-28 August when MLG Raleigh will take place. $14,000 as well as very important MLG and GSL spots are on the line.
