GosuGamers Rankings: September 2008

GosuGamers presents the ranking for September 2008, which is based on online and offline results.

WhO is the big winner in the previous month, winning the ESWC made him jump three positions in the rankings, while Moon's losses in ESWC and the Battle.Net Season 6 final degraded him to two positions. Bear in mind that the Top 3 players are very close in points, with WhO on 1477, Sky 1473 and Moon 1459.

Other than WhO we also have TeD regaining what he lost in the past months. A third place in ESWC and with wins over players as ToD, Lyn and Soju gave him the opportunity to swipe the fourth place.

Quite interesting stats. Seems like the game is pretty balanced if you look at the top 4? To me (who don't know much about wc3 really) it's only UD vs ORC that's a bit imba. GJ WhO, well deserved.

#18 he was telling the truth; alot of chinese games didn't count towards ratings, even if the results were posted. also, some games between 2 koreans didn't count as well, even if other matches in the same event did. So I would also like an explanation for such discrepancies.

#12, #19: We don't count 'national' qualifiers and tournaments, such as the various ESWC national qualifiers, the ESL Pro Series and the Swedish Starleague, for example. I believe you are referring to ESWC China that is in the system, but not any points given out? It we were to count in those ESWC rankings, it wouldn't be fair for the rest of the nations.

And the games you speak of where the Chinese players did not get points for defeating some Koreans - that's taken care of and is counted in to the ranking.

Thank you.
