Moon wins ESWC Masters, 'Sky pattern' broken

Jang Jae "Moon" Ho must really like Paris. Last weekend he ended 1st place at the World Wide Invitational - today he can add the ESWC Masters 2008 to his long list of achievements.
Despite the bumpy start, losing two games to LiiLD.C and one to FoV, Moon managed to end up first in his group and make his way to the playoffs where he showed once again why he is nicknamed 'the fifth race'. Steamrolling all the way to the 1st place by defeating ReiGn, WhO and finally Sky in the grand final.
But in the first game of the grand final, Moon was back on the bumpy road. On Terenas Stand, Moon was unable to push back Sky's aggressive play. Despite the very strengthy heroes Panda and Pitlord Moon was forced to type out, giving the first game to Sky.
Second game, played on Twisted Meadows, we saw Sky performing a tower rush which was able to kill off one of Moon's wisps and preventing him to get his early Beastmaster. But once the Beastmaster was bought, Moon could finish Sky off and tie the match to 1-1.
Third and final game on Echo Isles, was very 'beary'. Sky went for a fast expansion on Echo Isles, while Moon ravaged on and hindered Sky's Archmage to reach the important level 3. Moon went an early second hero in the form of Naga Sea Witch, which Sky later on mimicked.
After two decisive battles where Moon managed to take down Sky's Naga both times, Moon's heroes was buffed enough, and with a high amount of bears Sky was unable to push back.

if infi would be in eswc i be realy sure iwe would
watch a other winner
#5 you can never be 100% sure when we talk about
"player X vs Moon".
Gratz Moon! I really wanted to see ToD vs Moon in the final tho.

#5 Ye, ye, same shit goes for PGL and infi
couldn't even overcome fnatic.Focus. Rofl. Not to
mention infi's shape at WC3L finals.
GG Moon!
#5 yeah and infi has managed to win one title???
now suddenly ppl are like damn he's so pro, oFc
he's pro but he's not better than sky by any mean,
who cares if he beat Sky in their latest
encounter, Liil.D.C beat Moon zomg he's better
than moon now???
and in WC3L finals, while he was awarded MVP and MIP because of fan votes, he lost all his games there, how ironic is that? infi is not invincible, he's just one of top humans

Yeah a while ago I thought InFi was invincible but
he really isn't. He's lost quite a few games
recently, and is on a bumpy road. In a few months
he'll be back to his previous shape, but you can't
say that Infi would rape everything because he
really hasn't. He was good at NSL and in WC3L
(online), but his KODE5 performance wasn't
anything special at all. XyLigan and HasuObs
aren't that hard for him, especially those are his
best matchups (or at least, he seems to be able to
beat Sky in mirror anyway), and his only big
opponent was Shy, whose Human matchup is
absolutely terrible.
He did deserve MVP and MIP though, along with WhO.
And also, article should mention that Sky's pattern of not making it to ESWC has been broken.

Congrats to Moon.
Anyhow, did Moon break his arm again? If so, Moon needs to exercise more and play less computer games. Moon is really unhealthy if keeps breaking his arm over trivial stuff.
I read a while back that Moon walked into a pillar and broke his arm or something like that. I know a few people who broke an arm bone or two when they RAN into a glass door or when they RAN around a corner and into a pillar. I have never met someone who walked into something and broke an arm bone. A nose, yes, but not any part of an arm.

moon in my <3
infi lost to focus for pgl3 qualify so i dont
understand why some ppl say infi is #1. i believe
focus got knocked out on the 3rd or 4th day of
pgl?
Like you guys said, Infi is no n°1, and he's
not better than Sky; It's just he improved in a
hell of a short period of time!
Infi won because that is how competition goes.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but the
best win a lot more than they lose.
Look at pro sports. Sometimes the top teams lose to the bottom dwellers, but over many games over the long haul, the top teams win much more often than the bottom dwellers.
Even though Moon is #1 and Sky is #2 (a very close second place), sometimes Moon and Sky will lose to inferior players, but overall, they win more than they lose.

sorry for sky.
sorry for sky.
Its not so much a shame to lose against Focus as
Infi like to lose against LLDC as Moon imao.If
Infi is realy now only for this moment strong why
he he has 66% in his Gosugamersprofil.Infi was
always a strong player who get in the time
stronger and stronger.I be realy sure he will keep
his good shape up for a long time.
I like SKy more.
oie correct the 5th's name.. XDDD
Congratulations to MOON and SKY , there are
so many wonderful players in Korea and
China , it is very difficult for them to
advance to the world grand final . So we
can see their amazing performance in the new
coming ESWC 2008. Without these two
superstars, the WAR3 matches would be fade
.
And congratulations to TOD as well .
