Serious Gaming and wNv-Gaming to NGL-ONE

wNv-Gaming grabs the runner-up spot in NGL-TWO and qualifies for NGL-ONE after ALTERNATE aTTaX's blunder versus nWo yesterday.

Looking at the table sheet yesterday with only one match left to play, it was Serious Gaming and ALTERNATE aTTaX who were going to move up to NGL-ONE. But the German-based team aTTaX was failed to defeat NoWAYouT in the remaining match.

A 2-4 loss score meant that aTTaX ended up on 6 wins and 3 losses this season while wNv-Gaming ended at 7 wins and 2 losses. The ruleset was changed this season which now says that match wins is prioritized over 'ranking points'.

Should the old rule have applied, aTTaX would have been ranked in first place with Serious Gaming second place and wNv-Gaming split third with NoWAYouT.

aTTaX has one last chance of qualifying for NGL-ONE: A relegation match versus 8th NGL-ONE ranked team, currently PGS.

They are probably going to play delta, as hoorai is ninth and delta is going to play SK that is in a dire need of points to qualify for the LAN Finals. And since delta has worse rounds record than PGS :d

#5 They have already left, but 9th and 10th team get dropped to NGL Two automatically while team ranked 8th plays a relegation match. In this case:
10th place - BET
9th place - hoorai
8th place - probably Delta

#1 how the HELL is it stupid? It's a GREAT rule. It places importance upon WINNING matches as opposed to simply winning by the greatest margin of points. For instance, last season, Srs was 3-6 (iirc), yet they were relegated because they didn't win by as much as PGS did, even though they were 2-7.

Score should matter. Not just maps. WINNING Wars should be the main focus, not just how much you can crush the worst teams. Maps do count still, and are quite important, but this new system is way better.

As an NGL Shoutcaster, I've been following NGL closely. This is far better than their last season's system.

#7 The old rule was pretty much similar to the rules in WC3L where single matches won are also more important than general record and i don't think you can call this rule bad ;)

Well NGL site has wrong ranking, wNv should be first because same win ratio and + stats are same as serious gaming but wNv did beat 4-1 srs so they are first and srs second.

#10 no first the teams point are taken into account, and then how many clan wars have been won by the team. srs has won more map points, so they are first.

6.3. The winning team will receive one point in win/loss difference and the map-difference of each clanwar as rankingpoints. If two teams end up with the same amount of points in win/loss at the end of the season the clan with the better score-difference in concerns of maps will be placed first in the ranking. If the score differences of the teams also equals the result of the individual match between those teams will come into account.

Um if I understand correctly,

Serious Gaming has 7-2 stats with 30:21 = +9
wNv has 7-2 stats with 32-23 = +9

and wNv did beat 4-1 srs, so that would mean that wNv should be first.

As I understood that win/loss is priority one then map difference is second priority and finaly team vs team winner is last priority.
