Warcraft 3 is no longer part of the WCG 2008 Asian Championship games list. However, DotA All-Stars will again be a discipline this year in Singapore.
The WCG announced the official games for the 2008 Asian Championship. Surprisingly, Warcraft 3 is removed and will no longer function as a discipline. It’s presumably the dominance of Korea in the former edition’s that made the organization remove the game.
The Asian version of the Samsung European Championship will again take place in the vibrant city Singapore. Just like the last year, Asia’s largest regional cyber gaming tournament will be held at the International Convention & Exhibition Centre Suntec Singapore.
While Warcraft 3 isn’t, DotA All-Stars will again be a part of the WCG 2008 Asian Championship. Last year China obtained the Gold Medal in the DotA All-Stars competition and they will again be part this year to prolong their title.
I have fun in both. Personally, I play more dota
just because 80ms on w3 ladder simply pisses me
off and in dota lc there is no delay :P
but... I can'T deny that w3 solo requires more
skill than dota. Teamwork isn't that hard in the
age of ventrillo etc. MULTITASKING is the thing
many people lack, for many it is too demanding. No
wonder a map becomes more popular than a game. I
don't complain, but I admire gosu wc3 players a
loooooot more than gosu dota players, thx.
"^

yes, because you are pathetic noob at WC3 that
cannot learn how to
Micro , Macro"
like ANY wc3 pro has any sense what macro is
having 1000 cash after each battle is like the
opposite of good(not to say any) macro, it looks
even more unskilled if u consider that wc3 have
multiple build selection AND only 2-4 production
buildings
to make it short
play the most skillful and difficult rts ever,
scbw, or stfu and go ladder again
"# 36 cuz it isnt a game its a map."
as long as it is the most innovative map(compared
to other full price GAMES) since the last 5 years,
i dont give a fuck how u want to call it
"look at WOW"
the only diffenrece is, wow will never became such
a big esports game as dota will in the future, an
there are like 534743785 times more wow players
out there
After all what is dota? It's about one hero and 4
skills which 1 or 2 (on average) will be most of
the time passive. So you have to keep 2 fingers
always on the same keys and move your mouse. Now
look at the left hand of a high level sc player
with all those hotkeys flying around... Maybe for
some guys it's entertaining to watch sloppy 130
apm dota gosus, but for me it isn't.
#44 I think you're wrong..
-In warcraft3, we also need a good team plays if
on 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3.
-In warcraft3, we get 10gold/sec, and you in DOTA
also get some gold after several sec (but it is
too little), if you want more you must do good
creeping, same with warcraft3 we must creeping and
make expo goldmine.
-In warcraft3,there's is also many skills which
need account movement of units.. like Breath of
Fire,BLizzard,Firerain etc.
-That lame strategy you think.. but i think it is
very great strategy and actually it is a great
gamble.. if you fails you might be lose.
-There is also so many stupid and noobmade rules
in DOTA likes :
1. You are not allowed to back door towers ( if
it is not allowed then make it invulnable i
think.. and what is long range hero use for
then?likes sniper)
2. You are not allowed to block entrance to your
base ( likes use raigor line chocolate skill)
3. You are not allowed to share items or golds (
except carrier pet and aegis.. lol)
-In warcraft3, we can do everything what we can do
in the game in order to get victory..
I thinks DOTA is noobs game.. it just need item
knowledge, hero knowledge and micro skill to be
master it... but in warcraft3 we need item
knowledge,hero knowledge,micro skill,macro
skill,harras skill,surrond skill and many
more..
-Dota replays is less entertaint (i kill you, you
kill him, etc) than Warcraft3 replays which so
many strategy to watch
