MYM confirms Moon's contract renewal

2008's most hyped feuilleton continues. Jang Jae Ho has, according to PCGames.com.cn, reached a mutual agreement with the professional Korean team KTF, while the Chief Operations Officer says Moon's contract is renewed.

Exactly a year ago, MeetYourMakers announced that all of their players had renewed their contracts with another year. Today marks the 6th of February, and frequent MeetYourMakers visitors have awaited an expected update on the contract issue.

Earlier today, Rakaka.se published a comment from the Chief Operations Officer, Mark Peter de Fries, who confirms that Moon has renewed his contract per automatism. Why this has not been officially announced on MeetYourMakers remains a question mark in the books.

Within this lies the base of all the recent rumors, along with Moon's February break by not playing the WC3L nor the third season of Afreeca WarCraft League.

Recent rumors places Moon in the professional StarCraft team KTF MagicNs. PCGames.com.cn reports that Moon and KTF are on mutual terms of a transfer. Much different numbers are speculated about the amount of salary offered to Moon, but according to our sources he was offered $25,000 a month. de Fries comments the rumors to Rakaka, saying they are not accurate.

If the KTF rumor is true, the Korean StarCraft organization shows financial muscles by offering Moon $25,000 a month. And if they are ready to give the Night Elf superstar that much on a monthly basis, how much financial flexing do they need to show to buy Moon out of his current contract?

I don't think so. They just pay him to represent the organization all over the world playing WC3.

#2 of course not. If it would be the case that he joins on of these StarCraft squads, he would be playing 1on1 tournaments, and just stop playing in any team leagues.

For the same reason Go hasn't posted anything about one of their players supposedly map-hacking. This is a delicate issue, and the last one you'll hear from, truths or lies, is from the people most directly involved. At least officially.

Fake... first off sc players don't get a monthly salary they sign contracts over a period (let's say 1 or 2 years) and you get the sum in different ways either at the beginning, the end of the contract, half-half or in quarters...

I think most of the SC players don't even make this much.

The highest salary ever had by a progamer was Nada's 600k USD/year.

25k a month is so big for only one player ... that's how to tell young players " Don't go to school, sell your life for the game and you'll be awarded with huge amount of money". Comon, Moon is one of the best player of WC3, if not the best, but 300k for a year is too big for a player. I don't think that even Fatal1ty already won something like that in a year ( I think it was what ? 100k-150k ? )

LOL, 25k/month is definitely fake, that's 300k/year, which is more than Nada or Boxer's highest salary(without taking bonuses for good performance into account).
