eStars Seoul voting concluded
Posted by Ghassen "MaelStroM" Soussi 1 year ago
The eStars Committee has yielded the results of the community vote, a process that will have a substantial impact on the final participants list in the scope of the upcoming Seoul 2010 event.Gathering state of the art from the professional WarCraft 3 scene, the eStars Committee put forward a few weeks ago a copious candidates list for both European and Asian sides (Read article).
Now the voting figures have been made public, giving a foretaste of the qualified players since these statistics will influence the verdict by 50%.
In the Eastern pool, China's pride Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li tops the list monopolizing 14.16% of the total votes, followed by his country mate Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu hot on his heels with 1,500 less votes. Korean prodigy Jang 'Moon' JaeHo places third, ousting June 'Lyn' Park with a discrete percentage denivellation.
Less fortunate stars such as Kim 'ReMinD' SungSik, Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng and Xiang 'TH000' Huang grabbed only about 8% of the votes each and are less likely to make it to the event.
If the Asian's voting outcome is far from having unanimous backing among the fans, the Western's seems to do a better sketch of the players' level in the charts, notably with Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen at the climax of the figures and Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin playing the supporting role respectively with 16.55% and 14.16% of the votes. Recent EPS champion, Dennis 'HasuObs' Schneider pulls up a precious third place, outstripping his country mate Daniel 'XlorD' Spenst by 5,000 extra votes.
The eStars Committee's verdict will be announced on June 28 and will also take into account the performance of each player during the recent events. Until then, the suspense may reign.

Everyone in the Asian candidates is a star, I only know 3 players in the Euro side, though ..
#1 then u obviously dont know much about the wc3 scene since every player on that list is well-known
The only one I don't know is Cash...Can someone fill me in?
#3 He's the second best Russian player atm after Happy. He became known when he beat Fly100% with a 2-0 score in WC3L. Respect. --> Link: http://www.gosugamers.net/warcraft/gosubet/42371
it's pathetic to compare the percentage. Do the math. You have to see what is behind those percentages. Let me put it this way. Suppose there are 10,000 Asian fans voted, and only 1000 European fans voted.
#2 Well yeah, but I can think of 6 WC3 players from Europe that I know who could fill that spot
#2 and you have to realize other than the top 2 on the european list every other player there is not on the same level as the asians, when's the last time where they had a huge worldwide turnoment where the top players are invited do you see the list goes like sky, moon, grubby, and nicker?
Its obviously flawed. But GoGo anyway! :D
the votings are faked ..... last time leon was at rank 2 . but estars said hes not fame enough. so leon can´t travel to china... biggest joke these votings -.-
voting system sux rly...tbh Th000,Remind,Cash & Kas deserved to play this!!

looks like we wont see remind since vote he got 5th on the ranking system. i expect moon, lyn, sky from the asian team
thorzain should switch place with hasuobs. imo.
boring tower lamer gets most votes....where is this world going...
forever sky!
#1 wtf..=.= happy! ^^
RR maker TH.000 not ~100% ?!?! WTF...
We all love Sky!!! LI XIAOFENG FOREVER, BEST E-SPORTS PLAYER IN THE WORLD
Euro lineup r nothing next to asian, so huge names in asian side too many gosus try to compare remind and cash or th000 and nightend...it´s a pity...
