As part of a series of interviews done in order to introduce GaB to the warcraft 3 scene, they just interviewed their danish star, Rosenkill.
In this short interview, Juri answers the typical questions: What does he think of his old team?, what about his new team?, his hobbies and more. The 22 year old undead player had played for iG for a really long time until almost a month ago now he decided to join up with the Geh ab Clan. He shares what this change has been like for him.
He also talks about the current state of warcraft 3, the leagues he likes the most and his views on Starcraft II, the BETA, dditions GaB might be announcing soon, and the future of an already languishing warcraft scene. Here's a snippet of the interview:
...I think pretty quickly all the money will float from wc3 into sc2, at least in the Europe/American scene. Meaning that all the big tournaments like WCG, ESWC etc. will exclude WC3 and include SC2. This will probably be the death of pro WC3. The game however will probably still live on, being that it is completely different from SC2. I think a lot of people will miss having heroes and miss creeping. Those people will simply find SC2 boring and therefore keep playing WC3.
The Chinese scene is a completely different story. WC3 seems to be growing and growing, so they'll probably keep playing it for a long time.

| So american/european wc3 players playing sc2 are not going to miss heroes, creeps, etc? will they just go to sc2 for the graphics and flow of money and forget the key features of wc3 that made them love that game and that are not present on sc2? Can players allow the pure flow of money turn they interests? stop saying this.. the flow of money should go to where the interests of the gamers are, not viceversa! |

| to be honest gosugamers seems really to like the idea of wc3 dying out due to starcraft 2. Its just a joke there so many other things to talk about the scene. WC3 wont die until WC4 comes out. SC2 isnt that great i like the control and the graphics but i would like SC1 with those more. There are certain thing that are pointless like the mothership or this creep tumor sc2 is garbage. |

Wc3 has been half-dead in china for a time,everybody play dota or some mmorpg though i totally dont like them.So Sc2 and Sc2rpg will take all in china. The only uncertainty is the same question in korea.You know it's all about money. But i'm sure that we will see some big Sc2 tournaments in china.And as i know, there will be a small Sc2 Pro-Invite Cup in china this week.We can see some sc1/wc3 players such as PJ F91 LX / Fly100% TH000. apologize for my horrible horrible english.  |

| Hey,but think this. Did WC3 kill StarCraft BM? no. It only took away the good normal StarCraft players. WC3 melee games may die,but I dont think that it will kill DotA ot Footmen Frenzy by the second, Still, WC3 4 ever!!!!! By the way,what will happen to original StarCraft and Brood War? |
| The only reason bw didnt get 'killed' was Korea. Warcraft doesn't have the same kind of attention (and money invested) as bw, so yeah, it's gonna get hurt pretty badly. As for the original BW, it will all be decided by Korea as well. As you see in the recent news, Blizz is going to push hard for a replacement of the game. The foreign scene will 'end' (not kill, just get very very insignificant pro-game wise), and e-sport will grow with sc2, that much is obvious, but Korea may decide to keep going with BW. However, I can't tell for sure if the fanbase there will accept it or not, cause their culture is kinda weird heh. |
