Serious Gaming are, at worst, bronze medalists in the WC3L after yesterday's surprising win over World Elite. GosuGamers talks to DowaQ after the success.
- I had a good feeling coming into the match. When I saw I were to face Future, I thought it would go well. I've never seen him play before and haven't really heard anything about him, so I was not that nervous that I might lose, says DowaQ a day after the game.We catch him in-between practice games to talk about yesterday's success. A 2-0 win over Future as well as a 2-0 with team mate ViOlet against the renowned 2on2 team of TeD/LiKe marked the continued triumphs for the Swedish Undead player.
His teammate ViOlet had it rough against Sky, but DowaQ was able to defeat his Orc opponent despite being his worst matchup statistically.
- I think Orc is actually one of my best matchups, but it's pretty logical that a guy holds a bad win percentage against them even if it's your best matchup.

First game on Amazonia, DowaQ opted for ghouls while Future teched quickly with only a burrow and a grunt. The game seemed to be in Future's hands until DowaQ's dk dinged level 3 evening out the game. Gaining some ground after a successful surround, DowaQ eventually was able to counter Future's mass air with a ghoul/fiend mix.
The second game, played out on Ancient Isle, was more or less in the same suit of the first. The Swede was leaning towards the ropes when Future had emerged through with advantage in expansions, units and hero level. Thankfully for the Swede, creeps dropped two books of the dead which he 'read' during the right battle.
With the 2on2 success, Serious Gaming is now ready to take on the eventual loser of WeMade FOX and MeetYourMakers. DowaQ comments that he'd rather play MYM, as FOX have the two best players in the world.

| Lots of players complain about race imbalance and Undead being to weak against Orc. What do you think about that? DowaQ: Orc is the best race for sure. They don't admit it, they are just blind to not understand it. Whoever plays Orc gets a chance to become a professional player if he puts enough time in it. Blizzard must weaken the orcs if there shall be some improvements. I think it's sad to know that an orc will win a tournament before it even started. :P |

The only Orc that I think deserves anything that he has (medals, prizes, tourneys etc) is Grubby and no, I´m not his fanboy. but anyway with the recent SC2 closed beta launch and upcoming release of the game, WC3 is pretty much dead. |
| lol... Except all the orc's just got buttraped by ne's in the Korean Stars War Finals.. Orc is the best race but only because blademaster can get really lucky and ensnare is an awesome t2 ability. Any other race can compete with them even undead, it's just hardest for undead because aside from orc they usually have the least amount of units. If they go fiends then orc grunts do double damage to them and ensnare makes it impossible to run. frost armor rapes orc mid game though so it's not so imbalanced. |

| #4 Many other retired orcs deserve what they have earned aswell, players such as farseer and zacard. Farseer is my favorite orc of all time. But i despise robotplayers such as Focus |

| #13 Yeah, Infi would be great. Love his games, love Sky's games. Actually I love all human players more or less. Always fun to watch. Future vs DowaQ was extremly entertaining thou. Infi + Sky would probably win this cw. It's understandable (and admirable) that WE lets all they players particapate, rising new generation to the top level. But could they maybe let they best lineup play, for all-or nothing clan wars like this one was? I'm kind of dissapointed that WE won't be in finals. |

| Haha funny how cyclone always pop when there is thread saying that orc is imba.... FACE IT BOBBY, ORC IS IMBA AND WC3 SUCKS CAUZ OF YOUR BLADE MASTA! Sorry for caps but cyclone is so funny. Well, people who say that all mu are balanced just don't understand the whole thing about "orc is imba". If you just consider the fact, yes all mu are more or less balance, but orc are just one step ahead cauz of many things that i will not sum up (like 1 build order for every mu, can sold tp, et caetera) not send but sold sorry. |

| It's not that much that Orc is IMBA - it is for sure, but nothing like NE was for ages, and nearly all current Orc champions have lived all those shadowed DH domination years. So at least they deserves it in some way. Also, some Orc vs Hu are FU in the other sense. Orc just can't cope with hu air... It's rather than UD is just FU for way too long. It's not only that they've got it hard, it's also that they have so little variety to choose by. It's always, always, always DK first, nearly alway with the same abilities build. It's nearly always L second. I mean, even an orc pick a FS first from time to time, and you can see pretty much everything as 2nd. You nearly never see a DL played by UD. Maybe that UD player actually deserves it. Maybe they could play something else than : one base, one very offensive army, one win won on one hero killing move. I've seen a DL with one sobi neutralizing a BM for good in a late replay. And considering not all MU are bringing dispell in the opposition, I am surprised to never see a necro surprise or even enough Banshee to play curse. Those ways surely are not the most efficient, but they are potent. I don't see any TH000 undead trying stuff. I mean, at that stage, what do they have to loose ? Certainly not the winning position ! |
| #21 Don't be to sure. Many WC3 pro players have contracts which means they have to play, although Check have exited his WC3 time. I'm pretty sure that WC3 in the end will die as a game, and I think that suck since WC3 is a great game. OnT: GJ DowaQ |

I played SC2 last night (without beta key  )This timeI had to admit W3 has already died. Ppl always complain war3 gets boring and monotonous.Players in the past were more creative, but now hum only relies on towers,orc relies on imba BM....All races's strats had been fully explored. TR ,"Sky push" ,Cyclone Strategy wardon rush,"lucifron rush".....These are most effective strat convinced by many Mus.(I am sky's fanboy because of his "sky push",even somebody dosen't know "sky push" only needs one tower,one rifle,one mage and 2 heroes differing from TR.But this strat vanished coz of costly rifle, and everyone know how to point against it)But TR is completely different, even you know how to defend it,you can hardly make it.Because micro details determines everything in that circstance. I know sb gonna insult me again here .But even no sky or infi.I would still say somthing for hum race for I have been a hum player for years. As for whether mass towers needs micro and macro or not, I don't wanna waste so much time here to explain that one more time.All hum players know the difficulties. Try to interview your guys beloved tod and inso about towers ,and to see what they will say. Even most creative players like recent Micheal and 1-year-ago Th000 ,they use blood mage and Mk to be attractive.Actually this strat had been used in 2005 or even earlier by many hum players. Sometimes this strat worked,but sooner everyone knew how to cope with it."so-called" creative strats was just abandoned ones by pros many years ago. |

| why r u commenting so much on the imbalance?? good players can even wining orcs,the proof is that not only orc professionals won several tournaments T_T.. and the orc race has becomed buffed so many r like to test it,and many players r changing to orc as a main race cuz of their imbalances,u r right that blizzard needs to make them weaker but they don't know how , maybe cuz of the other races still wining .... nab blizzard but im happy that they have maked my favourite race so buffed :) (BTW-sry for my english if it sux-im just a little kid who still learns so ) |

| When I imagine grubby playing undead I can't imagine anything but long blogposts filled with whine about weak UD and linkin park lyrics. Oh, and ye, DH ulti is completly imbalanced as well. It's just that Dh dosn't hit 6lvl in every game, so there is less whine about it. |
