Space: 'My unhealthiness often bothers me a lot'

Cameron "fams" Carson sat down with Space for a session of questions, discussing his team, his practice regime and his condition.

Seung Hyun "Space" Park was unable to advance from the XPLeague Round of 16 after losing to Dong Hwan "ViOlet" Kim in the final group match.

The Undead Mojawi player, who ended in fourth place last season, was unable to repeat the success and will have to settle seeing his team mate Hyo Sub "FoCuS" Eom advance.

Space is suffering with rare inveterate muscle disorder and has been disabled since the age of 11.

In a previous interview Space says he knows there is no cure for him. Doctors has said he may not be able to live over 20 years.

Seung Hyun Park is now 20 years old and is one of the best Undead players in the world.
You made the switch over to Mojawi a little while ago, how is the new team so far?

- I am glad to play on this team.

You, Shy and FoCuS are once again on the same team, could you imagine playing on a different team with new players, or are you guys more of a family orientated squad?

- I feel comfortable when I am in the same team with GO clan members, I am unwilling to move to another team.

We know your health isn’t very good, but how have you been feeling lately? Is your condition improving at all?

- Recently I have been anxious about that, as my condition is not so good.

What is your practice regime like these days? How long do you practice, do you only practice with Clan Go! members, does your training change before a tournament?

- I practice 4 to 8 hours per day. I don't have specific practice partners and before tournaments I do ladder games for practice.

Do you have any plans to attend another LAN in the future?

- If my health condition allows, I want to do so.

Are you excited for StarCraft 2 to come out?

- Yes I am. I want to enjoy the game.

Have you ever thought about switching to a different game, such as SC?

- I have not thought of that because I have more fun playing WC3 than SC.

I know there are a few other gamers with conditions, similar but not as serious as yours, do you have any words of advice or encouragement for them?

- My unhealthiness often bothers me a lot and sometimes I get upset as a result of it. Take your courage, cheer up and go on.

Any last words for your fans?

- Thanks for my fans always encouraging me and I will do my best to show you games of high quality.
