SearchLucifroN succeeds in BlizzCon Regionals

After a walz through the winners bracket, LucifroN had one series up on Grubby who came from the losers bracket into the finals. And it appeared that Grubby was in no mood to lose this game, as he clinched the first match by a 2-1 win, and to be one game from championship win as he started with a win on Turtle Rock in the second series. But the young Spaniard could come back, evened it out to 1-1 on Echo Isles and then succeeded to win on Terenas Stand.
Third place was earned by Nikita "Nicker" Pomadov who came short in the consolation finals against Grubby. The tournament upset was Thomas "ThomasG" Glinski's 2-0 win over Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin in the second round of loser bracket.
Phil "Longwalk" Crawford defeated Nikolaus "Sonkie" Cassidy twice in the American Regionals, and earned $5,000 prize check as well as a spot in the BlizzCon finals. Sonkie will be Longwalk's travel mate as two spots to the finals were handed out for the Americans.

| #1 there are tree spots given to the euros (Lucifron, Grubby and Nicker), two to the americans (Longwalk and Sonkie) and three to the asians (not sure) making it total eight spots in the finals. | Grubby have better chances then Lyn, look at the GomTV Invitational. Lyn totally lost there while Grubby defeated Lyn,Moon and Infi.... |
