Blunder Forces SK to Remove SC Squad

Chinese team removed after being under contract already.

"Triggered through our naivety and lack of adequate research"

Finding out that five of six Chinese "SK" players were under contract with Star Carior, the SK-Gaming organization removed the entire squad from the organization.

SK-Gaming was believed to have acquired a counter-part to the successful fnatic squad full of top Chinese stars. A roster with Junchun 'Pj' Sha, Luming 'Super' Zhang, and Lei 'Chinatttt' Zhang was presented yesterday. Chinese cream of the crop players mixed with foreign novices in comparison was supposed to be the new SK-Gaming, but it faltered due to miscommunication, lack of research and naivete.

It was the team Not Allowed that had attracted the Chinese players from Star Carior to play in the foreign leagues, as reported by GosuGamers a month ago. The team managers are said to have withheld information about the players being under a Star Carior contract.
"We believed the offer to be genuine given that the high-flying Chinese players they mentioned all played under their team name [EN], and a deal was struck to recruit the eleven players in their team," explains Editor-in-Chief Lawrence 'Malystryx' Phillips in the official news.
When SK contacted the Chinese players, they found out that not even the players themselves knew they were under the SK flag.
"The deal which seem too good to be true, came back to haunt us as we unearthed earlier today, that in fact five of the six Chinese players - including WCG silver medalist Junchun 'Pj' Sha - were already under contract in a team called Star Carior, which was not widely documented. Furthermore, after contacting PJ we discovered that himself and his four colleagues actually had not been informed at all by their two managers that they had joined SK Gaming," adds Malystryx.
This blunder has forced SK-Gaming to "wipe the slate clean and remove the entire squad from our organization, recommencing our quest to find a Starcraft team".

i cant believe NA manager(s) really hoped that their operation is going to succeed. it seems obvious that sooner or later the contract with Star Carior will have been discovered. deliberately not informing Chinese is so disgusting.

nicely written article, gj

I'm not even sure the managers know about that contract, so chillax before judging. I'm not sure everyone would wait, try to get hold of all players asking about their opinion before striking a deal like this either. I think it was in everyone's interest.

Within 12 hours too.

Fail "e-sports" team right there. Does not do their research before inviting a team to play for them, let alone offering them a contract.

This is the story :

Our chinese was ok to join SK. but i thought they was ok to come as full time cause they are S.C too pro team too.
So SK accepted us and when chinese told me they can come only europe and league online cause in offline they were S.C, SK dropped us out cause they wanted chinese @full time SK tag.

So plz now understand it was just an bad communication between us, chinese and SK, it was no for fuck SK or fuck Chinese, it was just an error of communication....
Error can happen, we are human....

Thx for understand it.

It's still ur fault because as a manager/admin u should know what's going on under ur roof all the time. It's your job and especially if it relates big time negotiation like you were in, a day ago lol! your ignorance resulted to a blunder which trashed the deal u proposed. it's quite moronic and reckless if you don't know what is the deal all about. It is lame and again lame for an excuse. You suck for that!

Bugg has always made bad decisions and I believe is a confirmed cheater/hacker. He was a pain to deal with in tournaments, so no surprise this was just another dumb scheme. I hope SK can figure something out because they are an excellent organization.

Don't you think it's quite easy to be all against one person ? When i see most people attitude here against bugg, I just want to say them that they know nothing about him. They just like to spit their jealousy and anger venom because it's the only way they manage to exist. Bugg is a nice guy and he's definitely not a "cheater" as I could read. Do you really think Bugg wanted to go to Korea as a progamer or are you just a bunch of retards who just can't understand he just tried to help Pj to take part to the tournament on fake aka? Why don't you blame on Pj for this ? He's in my opinion as responsible as Bugg on this point... and when i read some nerds saying "pj got paid by bugg" it just makes me smile. Maybe they just don't know what the word "friendship" means since they never get their fat ass out of their geek room. So, I admit what Pj and Bugg did was against rules but bugg does not deserve all the shit you are writting against him.

ROFL #42. How can you judge someone if you don't know him? Just tell me plz.
Cheater is the only valid argument that every people use against BuGG.

I'am agree with all people who said that he did a huge mistake of communication with chinese players but i can't admit that you are constantly insulting him of cheater and now hacker...

This story is really sad for SK. because i don't think they will give their trust again in a bw squad but everybody should calm down. I'm sure he is sad with this failure and he doesn't need all your pathetic post.

I think this epic fail was mutually carried out by NA and SK. Obviously, there was a pretty bad misunderstanding and different expectations but SK didn't do their homework too.

Well, lesson learned I guess, so that's something positive!
