SK-Gaming interviews Rotterdam and ToD

Posted by Gianni "EG.GenoZ" Rosheuvel 2 years ago
Rotterdam and ToD talk about their casting at GomTV World Invitational 2009.

Our friends over at SK-Gaming have caught the casting duo for an interview about their shoutcasting and their journey together in Korea.

ToD mentions how at first he was supposed to shoutcast together with Nick "Tasteless" Plott but due to scheduling issues, that was not possible and therefore he suggested Kevin "Rotterdam" Van der Kooi should do the shoutcasting with him.

Both Rotterdam and ToD seem to be aware of the mistakes they make during their shoutcasts. Rotterdam, for example, talks too much and also too fast at times and ToD's french accent is hard to for some to understand. But their knowledge of the game certainly makes up for it.

As it seems, they have been having a lot of fun with casting. Apart from the casting, they have been doing other things such as gambling and going to the shooting range.

The interview can be found at SK-Gaming.com located at the link below.

Both of these guys have a ton of smart, witty, and clever things to say. They also seem to genuinely get along and like each other. They are truly the best WC3 casters ever!

And far as their accents go, as a native English speaker, I have never had a problem understanding them. In fact, their accents are interesting and fun to listen to.

Both are quite decent commentators, but I must say I enjoy ToD's comments the most, as he's making most of the satirical remarks about balance issues and things that annoyed him when he played certain matchups/maps etc. It's always nice to hear the opinions of someone who actually made it to the top and at some point posed a challenge for the best players in the world.

ToD should do some additional audio commentaries imo. Would be genius.
