So, after a long period of playing Wc3 only for myself on Ladder, GGC or the occasional weekend tournament (and playing WoW, shame on me), I agreed to join the Clan of a classmate of mine and play with them in the ESL Clanwar Ladder. It actually turned out pretty well, and I must say it is quite more fun than playing somewhat senselessly on your own. You can cheer for your mates or shout at them if the play crappy. For my submatch, I was seeded on Gnoll Wood, which favours me as an Orc. I faced a human player, and to be honest he wasn't that much of a threat. I basically harassed him with my BM, creeped my SH, set up an expansion and just ran over him. He surprisingly picked Echo Isles, despite the fact that you can pimp your BM to an Arnold Schwarzenegger-like creature with the Market Place in the middle of the map. He tried to T2 Towerpush me with AM Level 3 and Beastmaster, but I got Sentry Wards form the Creeps at the Shop, so that I scouted it early enough to kill of the peasents on the way and also screw his AM with Hex and focus. After that it was the same route as on Gnoll Wood, just setting up your Expansion and keeping map control. Pretty decent start I´d say :D Anyways, thanks for reading and I´ll probably write again some time. | |||||||||||||||||||
