yo, today I went to the WCG, the very first time for me going to an event like this, so I was excited beforehand, of course. I got up at 8.10am, went to the restroom, did usual stuff as brushing teeth, shaving, taking a pee, etc. and went for breakfast then. At 9am or something we left here (me and my parents, got them to drive me, and they go shop in cologne meanwhile;) ) and sadly got in a traffic jam while heading for cologne, which costed us about 30minutes, so we needed about 2hours and arrived at 11am, at least I finally entered the halls at 11.15, after we had to search (the signs werent the best and we had to ask some guys there). So, after getting into the halls, I needed my presspass (free entry:D) and went for it, guy 1st didn't want to believe I am a press guy, tho, after a while he gave it to me, I had to write down my name and who I am working for, he then printed me that out ... sadly he didn't only missspell my first name from Marius into Martus, but also my surname from Zächer into Zecher ... but I just was happy that I got it at least, and who cares in the end? (me yea lol) The matches were set for 12pm, so I checked everything out first, walked all over the place, which wasn't too big, and then headed for the SC section, where I got a good place, right behind androide, and then! JaeDong placed next to him! This way I was able to see Androide and JaeDong warm up, FP, and also play then vs Arew/ChinaTTTT (or?), which was rly nice to observe, especially Androide's second game which took about 40minutes+, TvT@BlueStorm, but he sadly lost 0-2, while JD did a fast 2-0 rape. Androide and ChinaTTTT were still playing some time, while being only players left in the box, except Mondi who still watched ChinaTTTT for some time. I wasn't able to totaly see his screen, but when he was done, I saw his stats having the surrender background:( But he looked pretty happy, was talking to his gf and some friend, and then watched ChinaTTTT, till he left, too. After this exiting match of Androide was over, I went to the stage, just in time to see Stork vs JD in 3 fantastic matches! Some guys pretended to be korea, hiding there faces just when the camera caught them and then laughing about it. The matches on the stage we sadly casted in German, which was no problem for me, but for alot of other people, I saw alot of korean talking people around, and I doubt they knew german. Tasteless was served for the online stream, only. Still the commentators weren't bad, but of course worse than Tasteless. The crowd was loud, bringing an "OH!" and "UH!" whenever nice action happened, and when it was time for "GHEEE GHEEE", which the commentators sadly didn't shout out that loud. Tho, after those three matches I walked around the whole Hall, once again, this time even entering the 16+ and then 18+ area, while the 16+ was pretty empty and the 18+ was streaming one of the two most boring games ever, C&C ... the other one is Age of Empires, but that one was not far away from SC. So I went back to the SC section, and observed some compstomp and then finally real matches again, standing behind Strelok and observing him beating some Protoss on Python, who then took the next game on RoV, but failed to take another, the last one, on TauCross, which was a pretty defensive game. After the games I went to the other side of the SC Box and found out that he just beat Legend, who wanted to take first place this year and trained really hard, I was a bit sorry for him, but he got what he deserved after beating Draco! Now I had some more time to walk around, I got some nice advertisement presents, some cap from ATI and another cap (different style, tho) from Razer. ATI one is some ugly green one, while Razer one is cool and I will use it for snowboarding, since it fits good, and the quality seems good, while the other one is a different kind of cap, for casual wear, but too ugly to wear actually. So, I went back to SC in hope to see more games, and got to see Strelok playing TvZ, I found out it's him vs Luxury .. same kinda rape is what I would call it. Afterwards I saw Tasteless in the gaming area, watching some PvP game of which I still don't know who it actually was. And somewhere, inbetween all this, but after the Stork vs JD games, I got a nice autograph from JaeDong!:)) I will scan it tomorrow and put it here, so you guys who weren't there and got one, can see it:D Then, only a bored Strelok was left in the SC area, who scrolled the mapfolder from top to bottom to top to bottom to top to bottom .... with his arrow keys, I don't know where everyone else was gone. I also saw Bruce, with his face painted as the Russian Flag and his hair gone! I also saw The1Crow and lilsusie interviewing JD. I think that's all about it :) Hope you had fun reading it, l8erz. edit: here is the autograph I got from JD :) (sadly my newbish scanner did cut some parts around it, but it's still good to see)
