This is basically for all RTS lovers, and maybe to some E-gamers in general, the question is, will SC2 and all the marketing work Bllizzard is doing save E-Games? Then you can try telling me that I'm crazy, that E-Gaming doesn't need to be saved, but the truth is, look at how things are at this point. MYM was considered maybe the greatest E-Sports name, you think SC, there was MYM, WC3, DotA, CS, they were everywhere, ok, maybe one of theeir biggest problems was spending too much money on too many teams, but still, they always seemed pretty solid. WC3 Korean players just faced terrible moments, with many of them loosing their teams, and so far, many of them have not found a new home, having only NGL 1on1. Maybe it's just temporary, but with the financial problems the world is facing, I don't see many teams coming out or just picking up more players. There is the biggest problem, the financial crisis, all governments say the worst part of it is yet to come in 2009, and ESWC, WCG and many other tournaments are already suffering dangerous effects, but... SC2 is coming out, and many players and organizations are looking forward to it, not only the BW ones, but many ones in WC3, CS and others are planing their leaving to prepare for SC2. Recently, OnGameNet, famous organization from South Korea, has confirmed they will still be partners with WCG for a long time, and recently WeMadeFOX (in the middle of all this problems) have reached a huge deal with the WC3 star Moon, that could mean that E-Gaming associations and teams in South Korea might be holding off the economy problem, which could also mean they might start to launch a big project on many sectors of E-Gaming, in case you didn't noticed, they are the "authority" when we talk about SC, and will probably be in SC2 as well, so the question remains, will SC2 be enough to shake things up? Remember that they plan to deliver SC2 on stores in 2010, maybe it will dig up the ashes? Or just strong up everything, or maybe it will be a huge fail in history of games (probably not), just think about all I said here, and make your own opinion.
