    GosuGamers Rankings May

    » Daniel "SteniS" Stenberg
    7th May 2008 - 5846 hits, 24 coms
It's been a rather stable month on the GosuGamers ranking, although there are a few who've gained alot of ground. WE's TeD gained 17 placements and is, without a doubt, the biggest surprise this past month.

The Chinese stars Sky and Infi gained some unexpected company from their countryman and teammate Zhuo "TeD" Zeng this month at the top of the rankings. The Undead player amazingly climbed 17 placements since the last monthly ranking, much thanks to a strong performance in the ROTK, and landed on a solid 3rd place. The biggest drop this month was Fly100% who, after some disappointing losses in the WC3L, fell from 13th to 26th place. Apart from this and just a couple of other drastic changes, most players have more or less managed to preserve their ranking since last month.

    The Elves regain dominance

After an Undead dominated period last month, the Night Elves have retaken the lead as the most represented race in the top 30 rankings. This due to WinNerS and SaSe entering the ranking while BeT's Undead star FoV dropping to 34th place after a slightly inactive amonth with very disappointing results. In a way, the Humans lost some ground but World Elite's duo Sky and Infi remain strong at the top of the rankings. Finally, the Horde gained another companion in Like, but Grubby, Lyn and especially Fly100% lost ground.

Korea dominating as always, but China holds top positions

Just like last month, South Korean players are filling up half the monthly ranking. But, with TeD's skyrocket ascension to 3rd place, the Chinese are growing strong, holding 3 of the 4 top places. With Soju racing up to second rank, he was the only Korean to disturb the dominance of the World Elite trio at the top. The "fifth race" Moon has continued to show that his form is not at it's best and has continued to lose placements. Apart from the two Asian dominants, a handful of European players are also struggling for better positioning with most of them situated on the lower half. They were joined by SaSe, who's really picked up his game the last few weeks, and thereby re-established Sweden among the ranked nations.

    BeT's loss, mTw's gain

With the transfer of Check, WhO and WinNerS from Beijing E-sports Team to mTw, the latter team has taken a strong position in the clan tally. On the other hand, BeT has fallen to pieces and only the now retired Sweet remains on the rankings. As for the other team, World Elite, SK Gaming and MeetYourMakers are still the dominants along with MouseSports, who added another player to their top 30 count with SaSe. With elfittaja leaving hoorai.XQ and ending just outside the rankings this month, the team is no longer listed. Apart from that, there has been no greater changes among the clans with ranked players.
