Rankings based on matches being played in the biggest leagues in the WarCraft 3 scene.

Results are based on matches included in GosuBet. Each match belongs to an event and events are rated differently on a scale from 0-2, which is the koefficient that the ELO ladder system is being multiplied with. For more information on how the ELO system works, we strongly recommend reading » this. This is also the same system that Blizzard use and other known organizations, such as in the chess world.

These statistics have been gathered all the way since the first release of the GosuGamers Database Rankings from last year's summer. We have had it for StarCraft for a bit more than a year now, but we did not have enough bets and results for the WarCraft 3 Ranking to be released monthly at that time. However now we feel it makes quite a nice overview on how the Top 30 looks like, give or take. It is impossible to add all the matches played in all events and such, but we choose to add the most interesting events with an international and serious base.

Earlier today we added the last 126 matches from the WC3L season. Many of the matches come from the World Cyber Games from which all the matches were added. Also, events such as ESWC, WEG, KODE5, WSVG and of course the invitational leagues played in Korea and China (with international players). We also add individual matches from the most interesting online leagues and cups (WC3L, inCup, Extreme Masters and EuroCup), and showmatches.

We have not started to add the NGL-One matches yet, but for the next report we will make sure those are counted in. It takes a lot of work to add all the matches and we are constantly on the search for dedicated GosuBet administrators to help us with this ranking and keeping the section up to date with bets.

On with the ranking. The first spot is currently owned by none other than Sky. Before World Cyber Games 2006, the Dutch Orc player Grubby held the first spot but after winning the event, not losing a single match Sky's ranking increased a lot. Deadman and ToD fight for the third spot, where currently Deadman is a bit ahead after winning KODE5 and scoring good results in WC3L. The two Undead MeetYourMakers players Lucifer and Susiria are fifth and sixth, while HoT is at seventh place much thanks to his third place in WCG.

From 11th to 20th we see the young Russian TitaN having the 11th spot. His record only includes matches from ESWC, WC3L and Extreme Masters, but doign very good in this season for his team Mouseports, he currently has 18-7. The American player Nilknarf has done very good in WC3L and is on 12th spot. The Danish Orc Ciara who often do well in inCup is in 13th spot with 1191 points. His ranking was also boosted from the World Cyber Games where he passed his group stage and defeated Deadman in the playoffs. Sweet from SK-Gaming is only ranked 15th losing a lot in the PGL invitational. Remember that we have not included the all-Korean leagues and matches as we want an international ranking. We also see Lyn, the active inCup player at 18th spot.

ElakeDuck is located at the 21st spot after having a bit of a break from the WC3L action he will be back and will probably increase a bit in our rankings. Also when including the NGL-One results he among others will step up. The Chinese Orc player RABBIT who made his first international appearance at World Cyber Games is ranked 26th just below GoStop and Rob.

Hm, Sky has a lot of points for major victories tbh. I think his points are a blowout, although I agree he's a little better than grubby overall atm.

Moon is at 49th spot. After bad results in WC3L and inCup he was moved down many notches.

Remember that those aren't anyone's opinions or any crafted data, it's simply a compilation of the results the players have posted so while it might not be an accurate representation of everyone's present skill level, it IS an accurate representation of their results.
