Let me introduce myself, I m FearPsychosis - player of dota,fanboy of competive dota.
Not To Be confused or associated in anyway with FearDarkness(EG|Fear) .(Glad I got that off my chest) :D
I have been following competitive dota and would like to share my views with the public hoping to reach a connection with others like me out there).

Team for Na'Vi

Being an MyM fanboy,I used to love watching matches between MyM vs DTS,MyM vs Na'Vi.
Ever since MyM(old-gen) disbanded there has been not a single team to challenge Na'Vi the way they used to ( Yes,there have been teams that have defeated Na'vi recently, but there is nothing that compared to a MyM vs Na'Vi match).The raw excitement before a match,nervously watching Toby goofing around and chatting on the IRC chat,waiting to watch games that change the face and aspect of competitive Dota. And none of the games have been a damp squid.All the matches have lived up to their expectations-few even exceeding expectations(Who can forget the [F4F 3 Playoff] MYM vs NaVi Game 2 ?).

When I heard that EG was formed,I was wishing for Maelk to join the team)
He is now playing as a stand-in for EG.So that wish has been fulfilled.

Maybe you know this,Maybe not..If you din't,let me bring to your attention, the roster of EG is that of MyM(old gen).
They are not simply playing under a different banner, but they are playing with a different gamestyle,different roles(they are infact switching roles..with Fear playing carry as being the only standard role).etc

I know the first thing people will say is how come you dont consider Playmate as mid solo as a standard role.
Let me defend myself,Thats because if there is a need for a Beastmaster then Demon automatically takes that slot.

Now EG's performance of late has been impressive.I mean who can forget the revenge match between EG vs Mith.Trust, which resulted in TOTAL ANNIHILATION of the opponent team(Gone in 20 mins :D)
Their wins have been good,but they haven't been pushed to the edge.Yes,they have lost games before,But never been pushed to their edge.

EG's Strat
Take a solid carry, get a few pushers,take towers...get that early game gold and map advantage and that itself will help get some farm on their carry(mostly by Fear).We either see a 4 man push and have the carry stay and farm in a lane alone while they have the opponent teams attention...or parallel push( a strat which has been seen multiple times when they played under the MyM banner)

NA'Vi 's Strat
Take a HardCarry like Weaver,Mage,Void,etc(mostly Xboct)...take an Enchantress or Enigma or Chen on Puppey,give a mid solo to Dendi...take a side lane for LightofHeaven and have a support pick for ARS-Art.Puppey and ART start roaming, Dendi starts getting into ganks, they take a tower and go back..get some more farm on Xboct...And finish the game of when they have that advantage on farm.

What we can expect ,is a clash of gamestyles.
I wonder how Na'Vi will counter EG's push strategy(becoming more of a trend these days as the Dota2 hero pool is small)... I suppose Na'Vi s ganking style of play in itself will be a direct counter for EG's parallel push.

Teamfights will be the keyfactor here, as any team short of a member in ganks, will inevitably end up less on farm,with woes on map advantage and a loss of a tower that we can expect after every team fight.NA'Vi will be the clear favourites here, but I feel EG is capable of an upset here and bring about a change of poles in the current Dota2 scene.

Expectations are high
What a hero truly needs will be found out in a few hours.

Yes...occasionally he plays invoker chen,etc if need arises...but yeah..he s more often played heroes like Dk,slardar,etc

What an upset.What a brlliant victory by EG over Na'Vi..Lacoste who played as a stand in along with maelk was phenomenal....really brilliant play ... Misery shows that his potm can still kick ass :D

#6 - No I am not FearDarkness's brother....We are from different countries,continents,cultures,backgrounds,etc..
I thought that was in the very first line in what i said...oh well.

I've heroworshipped MyM ever since I started following the competitive DotA scene.
And I personally feel no team can ever match the sheer brilliance of the old MyM team, not even DK with their recent string of victories.
Now, EG is the new shit!
