Blogs \ Accepting Cast Requests
Knight.Synergy @ 26th August 2010 10:03 (Read 1117 times).
My Livestream Account: http://www.livestream.com/knightsynergydota

As there seems to be relatively low DotA shoutcast activity, and since most of the professional shoutcasters are busy with their important events, I am currently accepting requests for DotA games to shoutcast.

Please also provide me with a link to a replay, in case I can't find the game you are looking for. I will have spare time after my 2 classes tomorrow (Thursday, last class ends at 2:50PM PST).

Again, this is my best effort to provide the DotA community with some content, even though the quality may be much poorer than professional shoutcasts.

Shoutcast of Nirvana.cn vs Mski.Infinity at 6:45AM PST.

[UPDATE] Sorry, I ran into technical problems and my stream didn't broadcast at all. However, XtC vs SB's Game 1 had to remake, and the streamer went to the bathroom, so by the time he came back, the game had already started. Therefore, there was no way I could have streamed that game anyway. I did have some big explanations to various things, but that can easily be redone in a short recap if I cast game 2.

It's so nice to see more shoutcasters, :) So you only accept replays to shoutcast?

Thanks. I'm nowhere near that good yet, but I'm working on it.

I'm accepting replays for shoutcasts for now. As for live event streams, I'll need to try to fit them into my schedule at least 24-36 hours prior to the event.

Not sure how long I'll be shoutcasting. It depends on the overall load when I start getting adjusted to my university classes. I can favorably say I will be shoutcasting at least on-and-off though, throughout the rest of this year, just to see how well this turns out.

Keep on doing what you are doing. Be patient, I remmember Mark started really slow but get to a really big success at DotA shoutcasting. Imo you should concentrate on the derbies from ADC since this is the most interesting tournament going on atm. Later there will be some interesting matches on razer and mym pride, but for now imo ADC is the shit. I would like to see some Chinese matches shoutcasted that are not casted on some Chinese TV. Good luck, dude.

Edit: It will be really good if gosucrew highlight this dude's attempt for shoutcasting. I am sure the whole community wants the old shoutcasts Mark was giving us.

Thanks, I've been considering the 'favorite' matches for the ADC as something to work on.

Also, my set-up over here is not that great either, and I've been having a "no stereo mix under Sound settings" problem.

The whole community wants the old shoutcasts that Mark provided, and I am no exception - sadly, I don't think he will be coming back, at least anytime soon.

As for highlighting my efforts, that would be great, but I feel a bit unworthy until I can devote a little more into shoutcasting (i.e. slightly better equipment, improved shoutcasting skill, fixed technical problems, etc.)

I am considering casting the following (most likely not all):
Replays
- (MYM Prime Defending 12) China Nirvana.cn vs Vietnam Stars.Boba - Game 1 & 2
- (Asia DotA Championship IV) Malaysia Aeon.MUFC vs Indonesia XcN.eLite - Game 1 & 2
- (Asia DotA Championship IV) Singapore Aeon.sg vs Indonesia XcN.eLite - Game 1 & 2

Live Streams (maybe - depends a lot on schedule)
- (Asia DotA Championship IV) Singapore XtC vs Vietnam StarsBoba - 03:45:00 a.m. PST, Saturday August 28, 2010
- (Asia DotA Championship IV) China Nirvana.cn vs Philippines Mski.Infinity - Date Unconfirmed
- (Asia DotA Championship IV) Malaysia Ks.Nirvana vs China LGD.sGty - Date Unconfirmed

Don't forget, TobiWanKenobi and syndereN will be shoutcasting LIVE - GosuGamers Exhibition Match: Europe LOST.eu vs Denmark MYM!

11:00:00 Sunday August 29, 2010 in PST

Again, sorry for having no available shoutcasts/commentaries out throughout this weekend. (As for shoutcast vs commentary definitions, there is no real clear distinction that seems internationally recognized, unless there is some internet slang definitions that I am unfamiliar with.)

My personal life still takes a lot of precedence, but I will still try my best to get at least a few shoutcasts done throughout this week. I'm fairly certain that most of you have already seen games such as XtC vs SB and Nv.cn vs Mski, but it will still be enjoyable to commentate them nonetheless.
