Blogs \ Doing a practical course

so, the lazy bitch I am, I waited almost too long to get a practical course, which I need to finish my education to be able to study, afterwards.
So, I was looking for something that's fun to me, as many people just try to get something at the city, where you come late, and go even earlier, basicly neither do nor learn anything.
But I, for myself, wanted to learn alot in my practical course, hence I was looking for some place where they programm.. without too much effort, I failed finding something, and more or less (more..) stopped checking for a place to do my practical course, of 8 whole weeks, at.
Tho, as the time to do it came closer, I had to get a place to solve it at! And I started to also check for webdesigning, as I like that, too, and it also needs coding.
Last but not least I found some, and sent an application via email, which was last thursday, and till now, I got no replies.
So, while the others in my class already started theirs 1week and 4days ago, I had to attempt to school, as you are only set free from school, if you got a place to do your practical course at, and I wasn't with one yet.
Not going to school for 6days, made my teacher call me at home, telling me to better appear the next day, which I rly didn't want to, as I knew it would only be boring there... but I went, and as guessed.. it was hella boring. All we did was randomly surfing the internet.. taking a 40minute break to eat some at BurgerKing and then go back to the old task, not doing how told, but surfing the inet instead! (4 other guys, from the other class of ours, who have to repeat the year, also had to still attempt to school).
Our job: Set up an E-Learning server on a linux machine and install apache and some other stuff, so you could put homepages with PHP5 and MySQL on it (was already done the week I didn't attempt), and also re-install windows on a couple of PC's .. boring as hell, no1 rly worked on this.
But well.. as the day was boring as hell, I decided, I srsly don't want to waste another day there, and called one of the agencies I sent an application to.
They told me to show up in an hour, so we can meet, and I got an interview for my practical course, already.
After being there for a bit more than 30minutes, talking around, getting introduced to the house, they said I can start this monday, and then solve my 8weeks, learning alot of webprogramming, as PHP, ajax and Flash actionscript.

So, finally, without even putting too much effort into it, or listening to all these pessimists telling me "if you don't get one early, you won't get any! no1 will take you then!", I got a place to solve my practical course, just in time.

I hope I will rly learn enough, and be able to work part-time for them afterwards (they already offered it, if I do well in practical course).
