Blogs \ First thoughts of 6.60
Mahlay @ 11th June 2009 15:19 (Read 586 times).
First of all, i am happy to see 6.60 released and i was rather surprised to experience an almost complete new "game-feeling" of dota.

For his hard, not-to-envy task to satisfy his community, Icefrog did an excellent job.
The only point one may critisize is that the waiting time was too long and consequently there were maybe too many changes at once...

Though it may be nor the time or the place to get concrete, some minor things that bother me:

- Tower pushing now is even easier and gets better rewarded and seems by far the most promising strategy. (ganking is still nice, but how can u gank when the tower is pushed so hard, especially in pubs where i guess > 60% of dota games take place)

- A two-sided thing is the quelling blade: with it, last hitting has become a joke. i always enjoyed this last-hit/deny-battle during the laning phase... On the other hand u can now jungle even with spectre from start

What I want to say is:
The whole concept of dota stays the same and it will always be great fun to play, but it is somehow a different dota as when i first played it and learned to love it.
