modorra wins NESL #13

The NESL Preseason cup on Sunday has not only $500 USD on the line but also the entry ticket to the King of the Hill spectacle on Tuesday. This Sunday, it was Canadian player Modorra who prevailed and is now eligible to face Twisted in the KOTH portion of the tournament.

The thirteenth installment of the NESL Preseason cups is in the books, once again with a Canadian grabbing the Sunday event. Last week it was Twisted winning the Grand Finals over American Kitkatz, this time modorra won for the Maple Leafs over RomaNorgy.

The bracket turned out in such a way that the grand finalists avoided the big names on the scene and faced who'd be considered tournament underdogs. Modorra's opponent in the semi finals was Brazilian player Thumb who eliminated DKMR's Alchemixt and Portex in the previous rounds. Vandalism - Modorra's enemy in the grand final - went through difficult opponents himself, ending the runs of Realz and Bowles along the way.

For Modorra the journey now continues and goes into Tuesday's potential showdown with Twisted, while RomaNorgy has the prize money and a Wednesday cup on the horizon to give himself another chance at the title. The same goes for all the players that have a big name, but couldn't quite get it going this Sunday. That list includes TheGwalls, Sjow, former champion DJBigRuss, two former HoN players Sender and Lalond, in addition to the European faction around Ignite, Ostkaka, Spo and DuckWingFACE
