Quincy Crew is the only NA undefeated team 4 weeks into the DPC league play

Quincy Crew are at the top of the North American regional league in the Summer Tour and the only undefeated team in the region.

Quincy Crew missed the Spring Tour Major placing just third in the NA league, but this season they came back with a revamped roster and determined to wipe out all competition in their region. With Arif "MSS" Anwar and Rodrigo "LESLÃO" Santos back with the team, and with Adrian "Fata" Trinks taking the captain role, Quincy are on a 10-0 game record so far in this Tour, already taking down the Stockholm Major NA sensation, TSM.FTX, along with four other teams in the region to stay at the top of the NA Division 1.

Week four in the Summer Tour league schedule pitted them against Nouns, who before this match were also undefeated with a 4-0 record.

The direct confrontation between Quincy and Nouns featured a back to back Enchantress carry pick from Nouns, who aimed to dominate their adversaries in the laning stage and snowball out of control on the back of just that. However, they underestimated Quincy’s resilience and patience. In both games, the latter chose to play for a late-game scenario and have multiple tools to outlast Nouns in teamfights.

In game one they had an offlane Weaver who rushed Aghanim’s Scepter to give his team the reset option, while in game two they had a powerful Dawnbreaker- Medusa duo core that was eventually impossible to be taken down.

In the second game of the series, although Quincy wanted more of a passive play stance for themselves due to having a carry Medusa, who in theory needs time to farm, the battlefield was full of action. The game started with a 5 versus 5 battle around the dire Bounty rune spawn and resulted in 4 to 3 kill trade in Quincy’s favour. From there on, the two teams continued to constantly challenge each other and rotated around the map for 30 minutes just to stay neck and neck in both kill score and networth.

At the 30-minute mark, the kill score was dead even, 18 to 18, with Quincy holding only 1 k gold advantage, but the whole trading situation favoured their Medusa far more, and as soon as she had completed Silver Edge and Butterfly, Nouns’ healing power and overall sustainability weren’t enough anymore for them to force a game three.

Quincy Crew have only two more series to play in the Summer tour league schedule, and their very last matchup will most likely determine the two NA representatives at the upcoming PGL Arlington Major.

Summer Tour regional NA regional league is due to end on July 13 with a duel between Quincy and Evil Geniuses, who so far are 3-1 and can’t afford to lose any more series if they want to make the trip to the last Major before The International 11.
