Malaysia to host 5,000-Euro tournament in March

Malaysia will again be the focus of the world when she hosts the inaugural i-CITY Pro DotA Championship (IPDC), an event regarded on par with the prestigious SMM.

Teaming up with game distributing company Sendi Mutiara Multimedia (SMM), the organisers' surprising announcement of IPDC on social networking site Facebook has taken the nation by storm.

Boasting a prize pool of nearly 5,000 Euros, IPDC administrators have pledged to "produce [a] world-class DotA experience in the eyes of the world" by inviting international teams to join the fray.

Held from 25 to 27 March in Malaysia's so-called City of Digital Lights, IPDC is yet another golden opportunity for both local and international DotA enthusiasts to enjoy a spectacular and rather unexpected battle royale of this scale and magnitude.
