TSL2: Current Standings

TSLStandings7.png

It's been a little over two days since our last report and it is Monday; time for a fresh one:

Right off the bat what do you see? Exactly 51!, count them, 51 A-ranked players. A few weeks ago Artosis interviewed Ret about TSL, latter said he was expecting 30-40 players hitting A ranks. Artosis was even more conservative expecting 20-30 A's. Well, the actual ladder proved them wrong, as there are now 51 Aces in the deck.

What's even more interesting, is that 8 more players are one standard victory away from hitting A-, among them such giants as: Naugrim, Hayder, Enivid, G5, the former top 10-er, and Bulgarian TechnicS with an impressive 69-11 record. Expect all of them going on a final assault this last week of TSL ladder stage.

Who is that on the Horizon, could it be Kolll? Yes! With 67-18 and 8039 B+ points the German WCG sensation is finally hitting the stride. He actually gave a quick interview to Teamliquid for their report, basically saying he started late because he was willing to play Koreans rather than other TSL participants. Judging by his match list it was utter bull****.

That's enough 'lyrics' for the day, let's talk leaders. IdrA is the King, haven't played much. Sen keeps on quietly but efficiently advancing through the ladder. If he is in as good of shape as IdrA expects him to be, expect some great games. MaNa picked himself up and climbed back into top 5. Strelok, F91 and Ret were always there, stability at it's finest.
Our dear friend MorroW's position hasn't changed since last report. He was, however, holding second spot for a couple of days, but went backwards. God's punishment for injecting extra points by playing 9 D/C ranked players? Perhaps...

Who are we missing in top 10? OctZerg. He surprised us by getting there in the first place, surprised again by dropping to 29th, tough break.

Canadians, by the looks of it, are about to storm into top 10 again. XiaOzI was already there, now 10th, Chosen is currently 9th after beating XiaOzI 4-0 in a series of games. Kabal is 13th.

Another big name to drop out of the tenner is Castro, he is 17th. His fellow countryman Fenix found a steady pace and settled on 27th, still played way less games than many others.

Time for a quick shout to players we haven't been paying much attention in recent standings reports: kogeT is 12th, Tarson and Zazu 18th and 19th, Deathangel and Praetor 23rd and 26th, Avi-love on 27th, Deska on 29th, Terran on 35th, Sziky 39th, Kenzy 43rd and Kwark at 51st, he also wins "Mathematical Precision" award for having 9001 points.

That should just about do it for today's report, we will do one in a couple of days or sooner if something interesting happens, do you sense a storm coming?
