TeSPA partners with WellPlayed to bring esports fans LoL and SC2 invitationals.
TeSPA has announced the lastest iteration of their Austin-based esports event: Lone Star Clash 3. This year's Lone Star Clash will feature three events: an SC2 invitational, a LoL challenger invitational, and the final four of the IvyLoL collegiate tournament. The event will be held May 3rd and 4th in the North Austin Event Center.
The prize pools for the SC2 and LoL invitationals will be $15,000, while the IvyLoL finals will have a $5,000 prize pool. TeSPA have also created an Indiegogo campaign to crowd-fund additional features for the event such as production improvements, equipment backups, and better player accommodations. The Indiegogo campaign will not be used to cover the basic requirements needed to host the event, such as prize pool and staff costs.
TeSPA has already secured several well-known personalities to cast the events, most notably William "Scarra" Li for the LoL challenger event and Geoff "INcontrol" Robinson for the SC2 event.
