The world of SC2 premier tournaments is headed towards another Protoss champion. Tonight, Jin Air's sOs meets the two-times IEM champion herO[join] of CJ Entus for the $100,000 cheque.
The fight for the biggest first place prize outside WCS is near its end. Just two players remaing - both representatives of the Protoss race - and they're about to clash.
herO[join] comes as the winner of IEM Singapore and Sao Paulo and is one best of 7 away from being the first ever three-times IEM champion. The CJ ace played all three match-ups over the last two days and ousted Hyun 3-2, San 3-1 and Polt 3-2 to enter his third IEM grand final.
sOs will also be playing his second PvP for the tournament. The 2013 world champion took out Oz 3-1, Jjakji 3-0 and Taeja 3-1 and is looking forward to adding another $100,000 cheque to his account.
Neither of the players are strangers to the Protoss mirror. herO won his both titles on the back of PvPs while the innovative sOs holds a 66.67% win rate in the match-up, his second best after PvZ.
